Good comments O'B. Soderberg obviously showed the talent he has, and combining with Marchand, even with Marchand's penalties, makes Kelly's line dangerous and effective. Did those who think Thornton belongs watch as all three Lightning forwards overtook him and beat him into the Bruins defensive zone ? He absolutely gives his all, but his all is a lot less than caron and other Bruin alternatives. What does Claude plan to do with Eriksson? Right now he is a big hole in the top six.

    Answer: Nothing.

5-2, 20 Goals For vs. 10 Goals Against.  Eriksson's 2-1-3 makes him third on the team in goals, tied for 5th in scoring.  He's +3.  Bergeron has one more point.  No one is asking what they're going to do with Bergeron.  Eriksson's second on the team in shots by forwards, behind Iginla.  Do we as fans want to see him score more?  Of course.  But the team's principles are very clear.  Are they playing good team D?  Are they getting good goaltending?  Are they winning?  If the answer to these questions is "yes", then they aren't going to change things to score more goals.

    In response to RichHillOntario's comment:

In an ideal world it would be Thornton in the press box.

Sometimes I wonder who his heir apparent will be.  Or if one is even needed for his role.

Camara or Robbins...and good luck trying to explain that Caron would be just fine getting reps right now on the 4th line to Julien.

Dang it Thornton just had to score last night FUDGE! That will probably get him an extension.

One of the most logical posts ever on this board.  Did anyone really notice Stam(p)kos and St. Loius last night?  There's a reason the answer is "barely".

Pond hockey is coming in February in Sochi.  For now I'm happy with CJ brand hockey here in Boston.
