Nice win -- justice prevails after blown hand pass call. I'm toast.

Priceless shot of the Bruin bench after Smith scores SO winner. Ice veins Soderberg stands up and looks around like he's at the Bolshoi Ballet.

Boychuk a -3 today... didn't the Flyers pull their goalie for that last one?

What is your problem. Emrick is one of the best in the business. Has a ton of broadcasting awards to prove it in addition to being a great ambassador of the game. He gets the call for most every important NHL, International and Olympic games. For someone so hell bent on how he supposedly mispronounces a name -- you can't even spell his name correctly. Go watch a boring baseball game.

Yes -- still counts as a minus -- goalie out doesn't count as a PP.

2 u's,  2 k's 2 pts. Way to go Bruins! Probably their toughest month in their history as far as scheduling goes and they just continue to find ways to get it done. I was kind of glad for the unlucky bounce that tied the game. Need to save some of those good bounces for the playoffs. Plus these kinds of wins shows them that nothing comes easy. They need to continue to work hard  every game.

Real Physical game play off style hockey, good test for Bruins, they just keep finding ways to win.gave up way to many shots for my liking, think little fatigue showed today.Nice to see Smith get the winner,I personally dont have a problem with his game lately,he hustles both ends of the rink, battles in front of the net,his line keeps scoring so he must be doing something right.

Re: Game 75: Bruins at Flyers GDT

What we learned from today's game:

    • It doesn't matter how good you are, bad ice and bad bounces can bite you in the keister.
    • Steve Mason is still Steve Mason; he just goes longer between buttery goals
    • Claude Giroux is really an amazing player - so explosive to jump on opportunities.
    • Sean Couturier is Keith Primeau with a beard.  Like Primeau, his offense is slow to come to the NHL level; it was KP's fourth year that produced his first 20+ goal season...and it was a 30+ goal season.  In the meantime, big, physical, wins a ton of battles at both ends of the ice.  Future Selke candidate if he can put up enough points.
    • The Bruins home scorer who counts shots apparently also works in Philly and gives Tuukka his home-ice, save% padding bonus.
    • Torey Krug...hard to set a team record for goals by a rookie D from the pressbox.  Wonder how this plays out....

The PP was good WITHOUT Krug... and this is the main reason for him on the team right? So now what?

Great effort today.  Philly has a solid team.  i see a conf final matchup if they can beat the nyr who seem to have their number.

Tuukka saves the day ( pun intended ) as the Flyers get 50+ shots on net ... perhaps back-to-back day games had something to do with this atypical Bruins statistic

on the other hand, Chara/Hamilton, Meszaros/Miller & Bartkowski/Boychuk is some serious beef in front of Rask ... if they add McQuaid to the mix during the playoffs, that will be a menacing bunch

When and if we meet these guys in the playoffs, It could be a bloodbath. they pushed us today and that was a good thing, We responded well just what you want to see. Good game, should of had it in regulation but that is how the puck bounces. Hate shoot outs but maybe we should have Smith in the top 3 next time.
