Apparently Mannheim is an excellent even strength team...

    I think we'll be okay.

I wonder if there was a push to get him out or if he wanted to leave ?

btw there can't be any complaints regarding the Bruins past season on the PP.

Both during the regular season and playoffs the PP was ranked 3rd overall in %.

Blame Ward for season's past. This year the PP was much improved.

Let the Adam Oates to Boston rumors start.

I think Krug and Hamilton had a lot to do with the Bruins PP success this season...No ?

PS. Can't wait for Asmaha's "Ward's Dry eraser retirement" comment LoL

Yeah, Krug more so than Hamilton, I think. Plus putting Lurch in front of the net did 2 things. He proved to be good at that and it took him off the point where he was predictable and relatively easy to defend.

It also wore him down to a nub by the time the playoffs arrived. I'd just as soon have him back at the point.

I think CJ needs to seriously consider managing Cedfano's ice time downward. Yeah, he's a physical freak but he's a 37 year old freak with lots of mileage on him and the season is long.

I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it, but Krug, Hamilton, and Smith seemed to fix the powerplay.  Even Soderberg looked good on it this year when he got the chance.

Hard to forget those years when the talents of Chara, Bergeron, Krejci, Lucic, Marchand, etc. consistently put together a below average PP performance.

Yes, the HabHab is wondering  - "is this is a dream?"

as Mannheim is Denis Reul's team.  If only Tommy Cross would book a flight to Germany and Lars Volden plays goal for them...

Yes, seriously.  What sort of idiotic career move is this?  Jochen Hecht is their stud.  Check out the team.  Has beens and children.

Hecht eh? I often wondered why EDM would trade their star at the time, Weight, for him as the centerpiece of the trade and then dump him for peanuts after one year.

    At any rate...good luck Geoff!

[Overheard in Mannheim, sometime in the fall of 2012]

"Yanick, you have to help me out.  I'm trying to find a way to get rid of this awful PP coach we have in Boston."

"I don't know what I can do to help, Dennis."

"How about tell your GM that I'm always raving about what a great head coach he'd be?  Then maybe they'll offer him the job the next time it's available."

"No.  No way.  If he's that bad, why do I want to play for him?!?"

"Get traded to Munich.  Problem solved."

"I guess that's not so bad.  Munich's nice."

Gee, after the Mannheim Eagles, where do you take your career from there?  Linkoping?

Seriously, a junior team would be a step up from them.  He couldn't even land an AHL job?

Mike Keenan's in the KHL.  Lot's of former players and coaches across the Atlantic now.  The only remaining question is whether or not they can survive exile and reclaim NHL jobs.

KHL, yah, I can buy that, but, but, the

    Deutsche Eishockey League?

Looks like the Hamburg Freezers will take it this year.

Check out the roster, loaded with household names, provided your household is one of the parents of the players
