    Global TV in Montreal says: NO CHARGES FOR CHARA

    In a press release sent to Global TV in Montreal, the director of Quebec's Crown Prosecutors' Office stated today no criminal charges will be laid against Zdeno Chara regarding the incident dating back to March 8, 2011.

    The release states: "After having examined the evidence in the case, the Crown's Office is not convinced they can find Chara guilty of an offense."

    The Crown's Office is offering no comment on the matter.

    Police are said to be turning their attention to one Scott Gomez who, with a salary of $7.4 million and who hasn't scored a regular season goal since Feb. 05, 2011, and are considering charges of highway robbery.

    At least they didn't wait till the next Bruins/Habs game and there might be loads of 911 calls anyways.

    Amazing that this is still a story and really we need a press release. I'm sure people in Montreal today will be calling 911 about the injustice.
