I would give up my 2nd rounder to be in the cup finals every year.....

Look at the trade this way.  Giving up Kessel meant having $5M to play with.  And they used it to sign Horton. 

Kessel is a proven scorer, yes.  But Horton has been CLUTCH.  He's turned into a mean, spirited power forward.  HE IS A BRUIN.  I don't know if Kessel would have been that intense in round three of the playoffs.

Losing Joe Colbourne sucks.  But would he have made THIS team?  Really?  We got Savard, Bergeron, Krejci and Seguin up the middle.  And would he have beaten Jordan Caron or Jamie Arniel for a position next year or the one following that?  No. 

Give credit where it's due.  Chairelli did a bang up job building this team.  And we got Chris Kelly for a pick, and we dealt softy Blake Wheeler and future UFA Mark Stuart for a low-cost scoring threat in Rich Peverley. 

Wow.  I really like this team.  And just imagine if Kaberle starts to rack up points.  Imagine.
