TT sitting out........the whole league is. So if he had just kept quiet, everything would have worked out to his advantage anyway. LOL....

Of course this is if we go a whole year without hockey.

TT can come back refreshes and honor his contract. YAY

Actually, PC hadn't officially suspended TT yet, he was waiting for camp/start of the season. As he's not suspended this would burn off the last year of his contract.

JJ is behind it. I see a conspiracy theory. B's wanted to get out of paying $5mill to TT and chose to have Bettman lock the league out. Makes total sense now! No wonder he was never concerned about moving him.

LOL, surprised our least favorite thing living under the bridge with an internet connection didn't pick up on this, its slacking.

Right, not having a season at all doesn't hurt them nearly as much as Thomas's cap hit. (Sarcasm)

And Thomas isn't coming back lol.

Makes you wonder if TT knew the season was going to be tanked.

Damage is already done. He left them high and dry, season or no season.

    He sure did!

Someday we'll know the "real reason". Or maybe it'll fall on the whole really reliable speculation like when Pronger wanted, or "needed" out of Edmonton. Or how the Oilers had a bunch of fans in New York in the 80's, because everytime they came to town it "snowed".

Wait, why?  Why would a lockout year count against TT's contract?

He's signed through this season, there is not a clause that states it can be held over until next season if there is no hockey this year. Unless that is written into the new CBA this year in some manner, if they don't play, which means PC would not have to suspend him, his contractual obligations to the team will be fulfilled.

I would bet that they write that into the CBA, the players would probably want that as I would guess most would like to have the contract rolled forward as they might not get picked up otherwise.

What did they do last time?
