Horton's loss hurt the Bs on the road.

I think that because of his physicality losing Horton was a though blow to the Bruins playing on the road.  Peverly did a good job but Horton was playing with a lot of fire and was not getting to get push around by anybody!
Someone else will have to step up.

Losing Horton was a huge blow PERIOD.
Can't believe how hardly anyone seems to be bothered about this. When Bergy was concussed we went into full panic mode. But hardly anyone seeems to have noticed the impact of Horton's absence on the Bs.

Why do you think they took him out?

here's what i'm not getting. horton was in games 1&2, right? Boston lost.
He wasn't in games 3&4, right? Boston wins.

Is the argument that Boston was fired up at the loss? if so, then what changed?

Because they scored 12 goals and we all thought they were better than they really were, yes Horton is a huge loss.
