How Will CJ handle the return of Bergeron ?

Like all Bruin fans, I,  ( please, please, please ) believe, that Bergeron will return to the lineup ready to go ! A starter will have to sit. How will CJ handle this ?

If he leaves the first 2 lines intact, that still leaves 3 centers.

He is playing Bartkoski which would mean that he expects the return of McQuid before the playoffs start. Johnson and Redden are black aces on defence.

CJ HAS to get the lines producing. Me thinks this is his job on the line.

Also becuase Jagr and Campbell will have way too much chemistry by then.

sarcasm gets you no where guys lol

Depending on a return date, im thinking bergie stays with segs and march, and again could be an experiment with jagr taking segs spot.

Who knows but for me i just hope bergie is ok and is back soon.

He'll never do it, but it would be nice to see, and for more than a period or two.

seguin just isn't ready to play center yet. we need to get over it. Here is what I would like.

    Lucic - Krejci - Jagr

    Marchand - Bergeron - Seguin

    Peverley - Kelly - Horton

    Paille - Campbell - Caron

    Chara - Hamilton

    Seidenberg - Boychuk

    Ference/McQuaid/Bartkowski/Redden/Johnson

(hey having the prospect of 9 NHL caliber D men ain't bad)

Bergeron must be in the top 6. Smart ! Having your best forward play with 3rd liners. Not so smart !

Isn't there somewhere else we can put/hide/bury Lucic? I'm not a huge fan of any the crap I'm about to suggest, but he's been killing that first line for a while now and I'd support almost anything to get him off there. Can he play right wing on the second (or third) and have Seguin on the first line playing left? Or maybe Jagr can play left wing on the 1st line? Too much of adjustment for Seguin/Jagr? Anything else? ANYTHING!?

Bergeron according to Fluto has a downgraded 'mild' concussion?  Interesting.  He is close to playing I assume.

The blog article also says it happened "in a 2-0 victory at Buffalo", so take it with a grain of salt or five.

When I first read your thread name I thought, "CJ's liable to get down on his knees and bl## him. He is so valuable and key to playoff success. Saw somewhere today that Kudo said Bergy was doing battle drills in practice and he's traveling with the team. so now its a matter of if he is his old self quickly or does he have a concussion hangover?

I hope CJ will give a line of Jagr- Bergeron- Marchand a try at some point. Put Seguin with Kelly & Peverly & leave the other 2 lines as they are.

I like Bergy with Jagr too. B can cover for J's weak defensive play.

What's wrong with Lucic? What, one goal in 24 games which he scored whilst on the 3rd line not good enough for ya?

    I...I agree with nite....

Two things that seem to have worked better than you might have expected: Campbell centering Jagr and Marchand and Seguin with Peverley and Paille or Caron.  Send Campbell back to the fourth to play with Kelly and Thornton or whoever, and let those top three lines see if they can work it out.  Like the speed of a Seguin-Peverley-Paille line.  Like the potential chemistry between Marchand-Bergeron-Jagr.

I would keep Lucic demoted on the third line: According ro Darren Dreger and Bob McKenzie Carl Soderberg is a "Legit #2 Center / top-6, 2-way" forward in the NHL. Being that these two gentlemen know their scouting I am going to plug in Soderberg with Krejci, at least for a period. Although, this move has a lot more to do with Lucic's play than Soderberg himself.

    Soderberg-Krejci-Jagr

    Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin

    Lucic-Kelly-Horton

    Paille-Campbell-Peverly

I feel Kelly's work ethic and 2-way game will push Horton and Lucic. Also see Soderberg's so-called "2-way" game meshing in well with two offensively skilled guys.

    New lines for playoffs:

    Marchand - Krejci - Jagr

    Lucic - Bergeron - Seguin

    Pevs - Kelly - Horton

    Paille - Campbell - SoderYeti

Marchand and Jagr seemed to have something and Jagr can't roll with Lucic cause both are careless in their own end. Other lines have at least one familiar pairing Bergy w/ Seguin; Pevs w/ Kelly and Paille w/ Campbell AND NO THORNTON, CARON OR PANDOLFO.

Assuming health and no struggles in net, that is a Cup contender!

Some damn good lines with or without the Yeti. Makes me excited about the post-season.
