It is kamfer time maybe?

Ference will be on the phone with Shanny. Remember those remarks you commented about me now it is payback time 2 gms. Should be interesting Kamfer in Ference spot not what I wanted. The Flyers today with the possibility of Corvo and Kamfer playing d fence. Like I mention before should of got the kids rust out. Should see how d men will handle Philly today and Chara working extra minutes after taking a cheap shot yesterday. I know Chara is healthy and fit but babysitting Corvo and Kamfer will be the stress test for big Z.
PC may get the answer he needs today about the depth of our d men. -

In case you missed the game yesterday Corvo's babysitter was Seidenberg. -

Briere and Jagr both out today, Kampfer should thank his lucky stars! -

I am being sarcastic at the moment. Will PC have the opportunity to see if the bruins have depth on the blue line. Good thing brier and jagr are out that will be 2 players not to worry about. No news on ference if does get at least 2 gms. then wsh is the opponent which is a positive. This is the litmus paper test for PC's defence depth. It looks like Mcquaid will be Kamfers baby sitter. YUPPPPPPPPP!!!! -

Posted by Chowdahkid-I've been trying to give Corvo the benefit of the doubt with all the negative stuff on this site -- BUT -- yesterday was a minor league mistake that was a killer. I'm all for pinching in on D to keep the play alive -- but never-ever with the penalty clock winding down to zero. This is the second game this week where a D-Man left his post with yeilding a breakaway from the man exiting the penalty box. -

Kampfer is not the answer, can't take or dodge big hits, or so it seems. -

He got rocked pretty good coming around his own net by Schenn today. Looked like his head was down. -

I think he needs some more time off. He got rocked by a clean hit. I'm not sure why he didn't see Schenn. He's got to keep his head up. -

Maybe its not playing enough at this level but alot of times it seems the game is moving too quick for him. Schenn's hit was definately clean, i mean maybe Kampfer was looking at the puck. -

dez - In years past it seems there would be a scrap if a team's top player got hit like that. (i. e., Semenko escorting Gretzky at times) I saw nothing wrong with Schenn's solid bodycheck on Kamper yet Kelly felt the need to step in and duke it out.
What is it about the present day game that requires this to be an almost automatic response? Last night Komisarek nailed Moen with a solid, clean open ice hit much like 70's Leaf hardrock D Brian Glennie used to deliver. Hughson and Simpson immediately weighed in with the "Uh, oh's" and "Something's gonna happen" discourse. Why? -

RHO, I think it's just a matter of trying to dissuade the player from making the same hit next time. -

Cheers, buddy. Just wondering why even clean checks seem to ignite this kind of response. -

RHO, I think it's stupid too. That's why my answer seemed so simplistic. It truly is a schoolyard mentality and it really has seemed to have gone overboard in the last few years. In defense of Kelly though, I don't think he was going to attack Schenn unless he felt he had a willing opponent. Cheers. -

Agreed re Kelly, dez. He's not the type of player to indiscriminately seek payback or message send i.e., you hit one of our guys you better get set to drop 'em. At first I thought perhaps he viewed the contact as high. I'm not against the Bruins having each other's backs. The Schenn check seemed hard but clean to me. Guess that's what the game has evolved to.
