    Re: Jagr a Bruin

Payne, MacDermid and a #2 for a Jagr. Im not going to look at this trade and compare it to the what-could-have-been Iginla move. I think Jagr and Iginla would improve the team in different ways.

Jagr = improve the players around him and pot a few goals and power play help

Iginila = improve the scoring and keep the effort of the team more consistent

But the potential of what Jagr could bring is certainly worth what PC gave up.
    Well done Chia.
Now go get a d-man and lets have a run at this!

Imagine if we can now get Boyle or Streit.  We would have two very good units if we can. Can't wait to hear what this cost in order to see what we still have to work with.  If we gave Bartkowski + Koko deal I might prefer we stop now.  If we gave up lesser goods I would love to explore one of these Dmen for the PP.

    Let's go get that D-Man!!

    Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 1m

DAL will receive prospects Lane MacDermid and Cody Payne (Plymouth) as part of the Jagr trade with BOS.

    FRIGGIN AWESOME!

That is nothing plenty of time to address more needs

MDS - I've never heard of him, so I'm ok with it even if he had potential. I was worried it was Koko and Bart. I think one of them, not both, would have been enough.

True, there needs to be something of equal(ish) value going the other way...

Really is a good trade after seeing what the Bruins gave up.  Looking forward to seeing what Jagr can do in a B's uniform!

    Now...where do they play him???

Hopefully on the right beside Krejci. Drop Horton down alongside Pev, get one non-schlub to play the left on that line. Three solid scoring lines again.

I did not want Jagr at the price reported, but for this price a steal no doubt.

Jagr's a natural RW, so Horton.

This is good news. A player whos raison d'etre is to find the back of the net.

So where does he fit on 5 on 5? break up the KHL line or is he on the 3rd? Either way the 3rd line should be much improved. The 4th would look a bit better with Caron and Pandolfo squeezed out of the line up.

Any line CJ sticks Jagr is going to give the opposing D fits.

JJ is a master of puck possession....

I love it. Jaromir Jagr a Bruin. Has more goals than any Bruins so far. I can see him saluting the Garden crowd already. Instant upgrade to the power play.

Hope the deal included an extension as well. Freakin stoked caus Savard is right immediatly helps the power play that the Bs don't really need.

I'm thinking that KoKo survives the depth dman trade.

It is going to be really interesting to see what CJ does with him.

I don't think he is very used to having a player of Jagr's calibre...

I didn't always like him, especially in the Bourque years, he had a way of getting under Bourque's skin. I remember one of the only times I said "WHAT THE F*@K RAY" was when he cross-checked Jagr headfirst into the boards.
