Jagr and Thornton having a good laugh on the bench last night

Did anyone notice that?  And it wasn't a one liner that they laughed at, they were going back and forth laughing pretty hard.

They were down 2-1 at the time.  That shows a lack of focus.  Lack of urgency.  And it was very unprofessional.

I won't judge this without knowing what they found funny.

I hope they were laughing at a Hab getting drilled.  I doubt it though.

Laughing at how badly mis-used they both are?

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Exactly, a lot of funny things happen during a game, in the stands , on the ice, and thats just as a fan. Who knows what they saw or heard.

Re: Jagr and Thornton having a good laugh on the bench last night

It's easy for fans to take the "We're losing, and I'm not having fun, so you shouldn't be smiling about anything, Buster" mentality. However, some stuff happens during the game that can be...well...downright hilarious. We don't see it as fans, and I often times didn't see it when I was broadcasting in the QMJHL, but I heard about it later. These guys are human, and laughing at something during a game (whether winning or losing) doesn't necessarily mean there's a lack of focus or caring going on.

Now, it also doesn't mean there WASN'T one, either. But I don't think we can just say "they're laughing, they're unfocused, they're unprofessional, how dare they?" without knowing context.

I would agree, except it was a back and forth at least twice and maybe 4 times.

Maybe laughing about Jagr taking ST's spot on the Merlot line?  ST was probably asking JJ when he was going to stage a fight with Moen?

They were probably laughing at Ference inexplicably not pounding on Boullion with Boullion down on his knees and his jersey tugged over his head in their altercation or whatever that was.

RWTK, Jagr repeatedly goes into the corners and comes out with the puck. He has made plays happen. So if he's put on a line with 2 stiffs it's his fault and he hasn't brought anything to the table? Yup. Makes total sense to me...

Apparently Grapes would take the players to task if he caught them laughing in a losing effort....

The last time they played a meaningful (playoff) game comes to mind. How long has it been sice Montreal won a series against the Bruins? That's what matters.

The Bruins lose 3 straight to a team (all by 1 goal, 1 in a shootout) and you'd think the sky was falling. Some B's fans have more in common with the bulk of Montreal fans then they'd ever like to admit.....

Sometimes the truth hurts, remember Kennedy some B's fans want the Bruins to win but they better win the way they want them to and look good doing it ..........everytime.

Players aren't machines or cars that you can just change the batteries, sometimes they just let you down.
