Vanek- Minnesota Pittsburgh on a 1 or 2 year deal a la Semin oh, Jimmy Rutherford...).  Vanek gets to double down on going UFA, gets the best annual value offer, and a shot on a contender: almost everything he wants.

Gaborik - Anaheim LA.  They can afford him, and I think they must like what he's given them in the playoffs.

Boyle - Detroit Philly on a 35+ bonus laden deal.  The rebuild of their D continues.

    Stastny - Los Angeles Florida

    Callahan - Vancouver Florida

    Koivu - Dallas Minnesota

    Gionta - New Jersey Yep

Alfredsson - Vancouver Either Van or Retirement

Hiller - Dallas Calgary (Burke connection?)

    Cammalleri - Pittsburgh Calgary

    Moulson - Washington NYI

    Eaves - Boston Detroit

    Bolland - Columbus Yep

    Sweethands - Phoenix Who cares?

    P00 P00 - Rangers Yep

Miller - Toronto Vancouver - Benning takes with him the idea that good goaltending is worth the price....

Orpik - Who cares! Hopefully Buffalo.

Iginla - Detroit Boston or Chicago.

Hey,i got Bolland going there and Brad Richards after he's bought out by the Rags! Lighten up! They also might pick up Jordy Caron as a dependable 4th line penalty kill guy.

I could see Rick Nash being bought out. He's a huge disappointment. He's being badly outplayed by Kreider and about 5 other forwards in NY who make far less money.

Wow,i'll say, $7.8 mil a year for 4 more year's. 26 gls this year for Nash,he's the Rags version of Marchand except he makes way more money and Nash scores about as much as Marchand in the playoffs. They have another thing in common, they both kill penalties, so i guess having an expensive penalty killer in your lineup must be important.

39 points total for the regular season is pathetic for his pay grade and he's followed it up by doing worse in the playoffs. You're right though, Richards is a buy out candidate as well.

Alfredsson - Vancouver    Retired -  moves back to Sweden to watch Sweethands play (see below)

    Hiller - Dallas    Calgary

Cammalleri - Pittsburgh    Not Montreal. Ok, Chicago, then

Moulson - Washington    Washington sounds about right but I think he stays on the Isle. Or Brooklyn, which isn't an island at all.

    Eaves - Boston    Detroit

Bolland - Columbus    Leafs - and he'll be sorry

Re: July 1st UFAs go here: Fill in your teams

If the Rangers go the buyout route, they only have one compliance buyout left.  So if they decide to ditch both Nash and Richards - which seems like a radical thing to do if they manage to win a Cup - it might be a slightlybetter Cap move to compliance Nash and then pay the buyout to Richards - $2.3M hit for the next TWELVE years vs. $2.6M for the next 8 years.  Either way, ouch - $5M per year for the next 8 years to pay guys not to play for the Rangers.

    Dear Slats,

I do not play for the Rangers and would take even just $775K for the next 8 years not to play for the Rangers.  I think you have to admit this is a good deal as it would be significantly worse for your club to have me play than either Nash or Richards.

    Sincerely,

    Bookboy007

Slats must feel a bit vindicated, seeing as the Rangers have made it to the SCF,but has he ever given out some bone headed contracts. He hired the right coach and his drafting dept must have done a fairly good job but other than the McDonagh theft and Gomez rescue courtesy of the Scabs,i don't know if his tenure in the Big Apple has been fruitful. His team is in the finals though,so what do i know.
