1979-Graham went to LA for 1 rd pick which was Bourque. Not Calgary.

1980- Gilbert went to Detroit, not LA for Vachon. Sinden had no intentions of re-signing a play-off hero that almost beat the Canadiens & also in his prime. Instead brought a goalie in that was near the end of his career.

    1982-Stan Jonathan went to Pitts.

Got as far as the third item and couldn't stop laughing at ol' Harold Ballard:

I wouldn't trade Ian Turnbull for God!  Really?  'Cause Boston traded him and Eddie J. for a really old goalie.

Most Bruins' fans refer to it as The Garden, not "the gardens."

What about the greatest Bruin trade of all time... when they fleeced Chicago for Phil Esposito, Fred Stanfield and Ken Hodge for Moe, Larry and Curly?  (Martin, Norris and Marotte)

Or the worst Bruins trade of all time... Ken Dryden to Montreal?

Bruins giving up Bernie Parent in the entry draft to Philadelphia was pretty stupid, too.

The old goalie was amazing for the B's down the stretch.  Too bad he took the playoffs off.

Sox, didn't the B's just not sign Dryden after they drafted him & Montreal snagged him?
Not only Bernie, but the B's also had Reggie Leech, Rick McLeitch (sp), Gary Dornhoffer & one other Flyer in their grasp that they let go. If Philly would've had Parent instead of Wayne Stephenson in nets in 76' it may have been 3 in a row for Philly.

Yep, Rick McLeish, Reggie Leach, Parent... the B's absolutely stocked the Flyers.  The Philly fans should LOVE Boston.  The B's even gave Philly one of the most entertaining goalies of all time, Doug Favell.

I was so mad when Giles was traded but you have to take the good with the bad. Espo Vadnais to NYR for Ratelle and Park,  Ken Hodge to NYR for Middleton were robberies.

actually the Flyers acquired Leach from the Cali Golden Seals....  the B's had traded him to the Seals for Carol Vadnais....

in addition to the guys mentioned, the Flyers squad that beat the B'S in 73-74 also had four others who began their careers as Bruins....  Barry Ashbee, Joe Watson, Ross Lonsberry & Terry Crisp....
