How come we don't KEEP players like Phil the Thrill?

I heard Phil went shopping yesterday.  Word on the street, is that he bought a new pair of sneakers and hit the Burger King drive-thru....you hear anything about that?

I think the answer to why you don't keep Philicity is all over this board for the last two years every time his name comes up.

Phil sure was the difference in his last playoff series 2 goals in one game out of seven when it counted most against the Canes. Nah I'll take Seguin, Knight and Beaulieu who's tied for the most assists and is a +7 in the QMJHL playoffs right now...

    Thanks Phat Phil, Thanks Brian!

My how history has changed...everyone seems to forget that PK didn't want to stay here.  Remember we offered PK $4m per year and he rejected it; he then asked for a trade.  Therefore, considering the circumstances, the Bruins got the most they could for him.

Considering....I think we mgt. did ok.

Because players like him won't lead you to the promised land. If he even cared a little he world be playing in the world championships.

The lure of a possible gold rush was enough for three Maple Leafs to agree to take a trip to Slovakia.

Not so for one of their American teammates.

Captain Dion Phaneuf, rookie netminder James Reimer and defenceman Luke Schenn will play for Canada at the world hockey championship. But Phil Kessel has said no to a similar invitation from the U.S.

“I’m kind of worn out,” Kessel said on Monday. “It has been a long season. I'm going to take a break.

“There have been a lot of ups and downs and I'm tired."

He's worn out and tired after the regular season, how in the world is he going to survive a stanley cup run.

Check out some of the guys who are playing for canada. Those young players will be difference makers.

    Cal Clutterbuck, Minnesota Wild (NHL)
    Matt Duchene, Colorado Avalanche (NHL)
    Jordan Eberle, Edmonton Oilers (NHL)
    Evander Kane, Atlanta Thrashers (NHL)
    Andrew Ladd, Atlanta Thrashers (NHL)
Rick Nash, Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL)
    Jeff Skinner, Carolina Hurricanes (NHL)
    Jason Spezza, Ottawa Senators (NHL)
Chris Stewart, St. Louis Blues (NHL)
John Tavares, New York Islanders (NHL)
Antoine Vermette, Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL)
Travis Zajac, New Jersey Devils (NHL)

Because he was a selfish little Pruck who wanted to much money and refused to play a team game.  Plus if he is so clutch and a difference maker as you say why did his team not make the Playoffs??????????????

    Troll better next time.

Kessel is clutch, huh?  Does that mean that he is going to birdie in the 17th AND 18th hole this weekend?
