Re: Malkin Sunburned or Really Injured?

In response to Not-A-Shot's comment:
"The Penguins tried to assure their local writers reigning league MVP Evgeni Malkin missed Saturday’s game against the Panthers because of an “upper-body injury” suspected to be his shoulder and not a case of good old-fashioned Fort Lauderdale sun poisoning."
There is only one major problem with this story: It was rainy and cloudy for the better part of two days here. The high temp was around 83 or so. Maybe if his name was McMalkin or O'Malkin a sunburn would make sense.
Of course, the Malik-less, Crosby-less Penguins still beat the Panthers, but they would be no match for the Boston Bruins!

As it was inclement weather down there it appears the Pens' PR department was trying to inject a bit of humour, albeit inaccurate in their spin, NAS. The article continue this angle with "Despite missing a seriously sunburned Malkin..." That must be sensitive skin to burn in rainy and largely overcast weather.
To avoid anything contradictory perhaps next time a press release from them should read "The Penguins tried to assure their local writers reigning league MVP Evgeni Malkin missed Saturday’s game against the Panthers because of an “upper-body injury” suspected to be his shoulder and not the latest rumoured reoccurrence of his head getting stuck in the neck opening of his jersey."
