I'm not saying you would, but many of the people clamouring for PC to sign Marchand will be complaining if he throws around too much money and is up against the cap. Marchand should be signed, but not at more than what he deserves. That is what will happen, don't worry about it. It's not like they don't WANT to sign him. -

I guess the threat of a work stoppage has changed everything. When does the current CBA run out? At the end of 2011-2012, or 2012-2013? -

It was the timely contributions of many that won the Cup for the Bruins, not just Marchand.
Marchand was invisible in the Tampa series: or did you and he (Marchand) conveniently forget that?
Without the others, Marchand had no chance of even being in the Cup Finals, period.
How much do you figure that is worth in his contract negotiations? -

His speed and shooting made him dangerous on the breakaway especially on the PK. Other than that I think he can be replaced. No need to break the bank. -

A pest/energy player that has high-end skill and is good under pressure is hard to replace. That said, the Bruins shouldn't give a ton of money to a second year player. -
