Montreal fired their power play coach for a 3-32 start.

If Geoff Ward had a 3-32 power play for the B's he'd get a raise!

    haha.....depressingly true

I for one can't believe our PP coach still has a job after last year's debacle and this years continuation.  To say we don't have the skill is BS.  What we lack is the coach who can utilize our particular mix of players to find something that works 20% of the time

Can this guy and start from scratch...something obviously isn't right, and I think we have the talent to be better on the PP.

PP is actually getting better went from 1 in 20 5% to 13% now....and they have changed it up a it as the Toronto game showed.

I was ragging on them for this but I think it's going to come around.

I agree with what you're saying, BUT Montreal is a little different than Boston.

    1. They have more speedy stickhandling type players than the Bruins do, and
    2. They rely more on the power-play.

The Bruins won a cup last year without a power-play. Montreal can't win a game.

Bruins are 4 for 31.  Promote Ward.  I hear Perry Pearn is available.

An absolute disgrace to the game of hockey. Firing a guy who eats, sleeps and breathes Canadiens hockey ONE hour before the puck drops. Cammaleri has missed a couple of games and is paying hurt, Markov is out along with Spacek, and Gomez is the general managers fault..You take on Gomez' contract AND give them Ryan Mcdonough??? Thats insanity. He was made a scapegoat and it was done to send a message...The only message I see is that it  showed no the organization showed no class, from what i can tell unless Price stands on his head, the team isn't good enough to make the playoffs.

We all know Carey's your boy, kel, but he's got a sub-890 save percentage and close to a 3 GAA.  Stand on his head?  How about play to his standards?

I said he needs to stand on his head in order for them to make the playoffs. Whats your point?

Point is he's not exactly part of the solution with those numbers, and your comment seems to suggest he's doing his job but would need to be superhuman.  You could as easily say "unless Cammelieri scores 93 this year...".

They also haven't won since the 80's so I think they're feeling a little more pressure than the Bruins coaching staff.

Totally disgree. If the Bruins' coaching staff aren't feeling pressure at this point then the problem is worse than I thought.

If you don't think a Cup ring alleviates some pressure than it is much worse than you think. I didn't say they didn't feel any pressure. I said it wasn't(and shouldn't be) at the same level felt in Montreal.

Honestly how does Geoff Ward still have a job at this point. He is useless.

they won a stanley cup, that's how. i'm fairly confident he and possibly clode would have been searching for new jobs if they hadn't.
