Daug is more of a defensive liability which is why I thought Caron would get the nod.

    Observation.

Did you see a lot of him in Ottawa or are you basing this on the time he's played for the B's (7 games, less than 70 minutes overall)?

On the radio driving home, I heard:

    Paille-Peverley-Seguin

    Daugavins-Kelly-Thornton

Peverley and Kelly might have been the other way around.

If that's correct, however, you better have slo-mo on your TV.  That third line will be a blur.

I like the look of these groups more than with Daug on the 3rd. You're absolutely correct. This 3rd line has speed to burn.

Didn't realize I had to explain the word observation to you. I've seen enough to form an opinion. How about you?

    Re: New lines from practice

I wouldn't put Caron in there simply because Caron looked awful trying to get the puck out of the zone when he last played for the Bs.

The puck would get to him along the boards and he would just sit there and wait for the D man to pinch or someone else to come to him.

I'm not a huge Daug fan but I'd much rather him than Caron.

Caron had every chance to stick with the Bs and besides being a big body, he looks like an average 3rd line player at best to me.

    Just my observation Wink

And lastly, I regard the opinion of people on this board and my own eyes over reporters who have never played the game.

Julien picked Daug over Caron, I'll take his assessment over all of ours.

Daug Pev and Seg confirmed on NHL live.

Nope, I wasn't asking for a definition of the word, but rather when the action took place.  I haven't seen enough of him to declare him a defensive liability.

I was hoping for a Paille promotion to the 3rd line when I seen Daugavins in and Kelly down to the 4th line.

That makes more sense. Hope they click as a unit.

Julien will reward who is playing well on the 4th line if the 3rd is once again flailing.

Daug - Kelly - Thort just looks like a weak defensive line.

Say what you want about Pev and Seguin in the offensive zone but they've been playing really well defensively.

Adding Paille to that line seems like overkill defensively but it has a boat load of speed.

You'd be hard pressed to name a faster line in the entire world.

That's an "aww Jesus" line.  They'll keep the pucks out and rip all over the place.

    Pitt d-man thought process:

"The Krejci Line is off.  Phew.  The Bergeron Line is off.  Phew.  Who's this?  Peverley, Seguin and Paille?  Aww Jesus.  Do they ever give us a break?"

Agree whole heartedly, with NAS and dez

But in the same breath, I'd say "phew, Thort and Daug" with the Daug Kelly Thornt line.

Trust me, I would love to see Seguin and Paille on the same line. It's like a wet dream for me. Peverley would just have to have his stick on the ice to score.

Claude wants to roll 4 lines so I can agree with Kelly Paille.

If Pitt had last change, no way I roll out Daug, Kelly, Thornton

Cripes, if they're on their game that line could give PItts bottom lines and pairings fits.

That was true for Pevs - Kelly - Seguin too.
