In Response to Newsfeed: Peverley Lost for Season:Rich Peverley cannot return before the Bruins begin the 2012 playoffs, this season. Perhaps, if the Bruins win the first (and second) round(s) of the 2012 playoffs, then, and only then, do the Bruins seriously consider the services of a playoff-game bound, unconditioned athlete who goes by the name of Rich Peverley. Why risk the next three years and more than $10 million in guaranteed money? Going into the second round of the playoffs and fully unconditioned for these up-level playoff games, wouldn't Peverley's knee become the immediate target? The Bruin's medical staff, their coaching staff, their management and ownership probably won't let that happen. Is Peverley really finished for this season and the playoffs?

Where are you getting this info? When he was injured they said 4-6 weeks. If that's the case he should have atleast a week of the regular season to get back into decent game shape. -

Weak cheese Sly. Lots of bait, no link, and tons of speculation.
And players risk injury all the time. Are you suggesting that the Bruins wouldn't put Peverly out there (in the playoffs!?) because somebody might injure him further and cause him to miss some part of the regular season next year??
Guys play injured in the playoffs. All the time. If Peverly can go, he'll go. -

I guess, but the way some folks are reacting to this downturn and injuries you'd think we were all Sabres, Canucks, Kings, Capitals, Sens, Wild, Panthers, Coyotes, Columbus, Preds, Sharks or Blues fans, and we had never ever have had a taste of success, rather than having won a Cup just 9 months ago.
They're in tough, but the sky is not falling, and it won't even if they fail to repeat this year (a possibility which I still think is doable). -

He's not a troll. This is the same guy who spends the entire game posting stats to the game blog that everyone in North America has available to them, thinking he's providing some sort of insightful service, all the while demonstating a staggering lack of understanding of basic statistical analysis.
He's not trying (intentionally) to stir anything up. He literally doesn't know any better. -
