The NHL is in trouble w/out stars such as Tobias Enstrom.

It does seem like an amusing number of players are dropping out this year.

Out of curiosity I took a look at the TSN.ca injury page.   There are currently 136 players listed as injured!!!!  Holy crap that seems like a lot of injuries.    I was expecting somewhere in the realm of half that number.

If I'm part of the players association, I'm asking what we can do to try and reduce that number.   Ban idiots like Matt Cooke would be a good start, but really, what could be done?  Softer pads?

Problem is they represent players like Cooke also.

Crosby and Malkin are injured, and Enstrom is lucky he got selected.

Enstrom on a brutal team is tied for 4th in scoring and tied for team lead in scoring, should have been selected outright.
