No Trade...Bring Lunch Pails.

Too early to start the trade thing...What the Bruins need to remember is to bring their Lunch Pails to the rink each and every game and start working for 60 mins. They will be really tested when the Oilers show up here in a week. They better be ready for those flying kids...Man are they fast. You folks in Boston will get an eye full of some of the best talent in the league. -

This may well be the best idea of all. Many of the deals out there tend to be fool's gold. The current group is good, we know. Maybe best to just get back to our roots. Hard work. -

Union workers get paid whether they work hard or not... that's the problem. -

Stuke - You absolutely nailed it. I want this poor start to serve as a long-term reminder to the Bruins of what not to do in order to be successful. Right now they've strayed largely from the things they do that serve them so well such as strong positional play. -

Look what happens when you come to the job ready to work !!! Good things happen. A little sloppy at times in our end, but it is a long season. I still say get Kampfer into the lineup for the Oilers. The Bruins are going to need all the speed they can muster to keep up with these flying teens ! -

Should be interesting to see how the Bruins respond to having played a good game. Unfortunately, with computer wiz controlling the schedule, they now have 3 days off rather than a game on Thursday to keep the mometum going. Lunch pail is fine as long as it's filled with skill. Right now the 4th line has some skill and one big pail filled with enthusiasm and zero skill. That needs to be changed, but it appears that Claude has a brain cramp in evaluating Thornton's performance. Putting on a fighting exhibition may excite those paying customers who know zero about hockey, or who still revel in the "big Bad Bruins" mentality. The NHL has moved on from BBB and the Broadway Bullies too, and the game has evolved into skill and speed with enough passion to have a Campbell response when necessary. It's time for Claude to realize that he can get more mileage out of a skilled 4th line winger than he can from Thornton's exuberance.
