Original idea to address slow start

Julien really got to do something different to get this team to stop this slow start garbage in every game. Whatever he has tried is simply not working. So I suggest that in the next game where the Bruins do their typical slow start routine call for a timeout at the first whistle even if if is only 20 seconds into the game. I don't ever recall seeing a coach do this before.

I would then proceed to throw a tantrem to emabarrass the bejusus out of them much like you would a child who acted up a soon as he enetered someone's house even though you told him a hundred times before you rang the doorbell that he was not allowed to do that. And the first player that shows no effort during the very next shift is done for the period..maybe the game.

May not work but I thnk it is worth a shot and even if it doesn't work it will likely get picked up in the sports news and draw even more attention to how pathetic and unprepared the Bruins players are at the beginning of every game and perhaps that embarassment will lead to a change.

What do you think? Any other ideas as this slow start junk is killing us?

Why not just get the PA guys to play some megadeth or something after Rene Rancourt puts them to sleep with his National Anthem?  haha.

I don't think the bruins are starting slow. This team is simply brutal in their own end when under heavy pressure. At the beginning of games, the opposition is obviously trying to score, so the pressure is on.
It only seems that when the other team gets a one or two goal lead, and starts trying to protect that lead, and starts to lay back a bit, the offensive pressure is reduced, and the B's are finally able to start carrying the puck out of their own zone.
I think, if teams kept up the pressure, even when leading in the 3rd.,the Bruins may look as bad in the last period, as they do in the 1st.

Yelling at them won't fix it. They need better examples in the locker room as to how to prepare for the game and never take their foot off the pedal. They still miss Aaron Ward off the ice.

Slow start what are ya talkin about that is all in Cj's game plan.

Follow that up with throwin Thorn out after every goal scored.

Thorn must be his personal body guard or is that escort.

Sad thing is 4th line only has 41 shots less than 1st.
