Our Top Six is 0 for 18, and we're ahead 2-1

    What is everyone complaining about?

Did we forget it takes 4 rounds to win the Cup?
Did we forget it takes a team effort to win?
Did we forget it takes many heroes to win? The more the merrier.

One player cannot be the lead puller of the cart for four rounds. Everyone must take their turn and pull the cart and one point or another.

So what, someone had a bad game - Don't have another one!

That's the advantage of having 4 solid lines to roll out. Most teams have 2 scoring lines. Therefore, teams like the Caps have 2 defensive lines to stop those two scoring lines. And have no answer for the Bruins, who's bottom three lines are awesome defensively, but can also score a lot.

not true. Peverly is in the top six, and he scored. The rest keep the Caps on their toes, and can score in a blink. The refs are letting the CAP defensemen get away with murder in their checking of both Marchand and Kreji. Perhaps the Backman penalty will change that somewhat, or Claude could rest Marchand and insert Caron for game four, particularly since the linemates are new to their center.

I think it's a given that a Stanley Cup team needs to roll with 4 lines. It's just too long of the Second Season not to have 4 lines you can count on.

If you look at last years Cup run, each series had it's own challenges. The Habs, 7 games. Philly. Rather whimpish for them, I thought. TB. Wow ! What a series. Same with the Canuckleheads. Except it was soooo much sweeter when it was all said and done.

This year. The Caps are playing great defence. They have some great goaltending from a rookie of all rookies (where have we seen this before).

Stick to the system. (that really helps with injuries), play your hardest and with some good games from TT, we should prevail.

bogie wasn't Kelly on the ice with him at the time? I guess you can call him top-6 but that wasn't a top-6 line.

Eventually, if you're gonna win 16 games in the play-offs, you are going to need production out of the "top lines" and eventually you are going to have to make the opposition pay with PP goals.

We all know the Bruins got through round 1 last year going 0-2,347 on the PP, so just b/c some guys haven't tallied points in the first 3 games this year, it doesn't mean they won't.

I thought last night was a good team win, frankly they picked up Timmy a little, since the first 2 goals were a little soft.  Aside from kind of fluke play, the 3rd goal, they were in position to win that game 4-2 with an empty netter.

Sooner or later they will bust out. Playoffs are completely different than the regular season, the Bruins depth and 4th line wears on opponents, they get tougher as the series plays out. Big win last night!

On the TSN quiz last night Crawford was playing clips of Holtby alongside clips of Dryden. It's definitely not just Bruins fans who have picked up on the similarities.

Every year when a young untested goalie starts in the playoffs, they're compared to Dryden.

For sure, just this year with him playing the Bruins (and that he only played 7 reg. season games - Dryden played 6) the comparison comes more easily.

.......or Claude could just keep the same lineup that just won game 3.

"Resting" 23 year old Marchand ? What for ? He's already "resting" fellow 21 year old oldtimer Jordan Caron.
