    Please God, not Gonchar...

"With Chris Kelly down with a broken leg, Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe reports the Bruins are in the market to add depth to their third and fourth lines.

He also says the Bruins might look to bolster their blueline and names Ottawa's Sergei Gonchar as a potential target."

Sergei Gonchar still has the eggs in his pockets - and still unbroken! - from his last stint in Boston. He makes Tomas Kaberle look like Scott Stevens. Please Peter Chiarelli, no!

I remember it used to be rare to trade within the division. I also hope they pass on Gonchar too though.

Gonchar has been pretty darn good in the games I've watched him play this year.

I can't see Ottawa dealing him if they are still in the hunt. I would have thought with the injuries they've had that they would have fallen off by now. Kudos to the coaching staff.

That said, why not? I think he'd help the power play in the playoffs and he's not as bad defensivley as people think.

Dallas are dropping into exclusion from the playoffs fast but still have my doubts with their GM and staff there .

You mean doubts regarding them being buyers or sellers?

Jamie Benn sounded pretty disheartened after their loss last night...maybe the players are thinking this year's done.
