    Wayne Maki was the culprit alright, mainly because he was scared tihs-less of what he feared Green might do to him.  Wayne had a short career, unlike brother Chiko who played about 15 years for the Black Hawks (note:at one time, Chico Maki played RW on a line with young Phil Esposito at C and R. Hull, The Golden Jet, at LW). 

    Re: McLaren, the fact that he was not a dirty player served him well on what was definitely a bang-bang play (not premeditated).  McLaren was big, but averaged less than one PIM per game for his career; frankly, I always felt he was overrated.

    I'm happy this is not a cheap shot dirty team. We don't need more players like Cook and Mike Richards
