I feel terrible for savard. He had some amazing skills and I wonder those will ever recover at this point.

However, 4mil in SC sounds pretty good rightboutnow.

Get out before you can't get up.

I wish a full recovery for the man, but have no interest in seeing him return to hockey.

I have to agree. It's not worth the risk for him to play again.

A little harsh NAS! What if something happened to you & you couldn't do what you love? Comon have a heart! If you want to say you have no interest in him coming back & playing for Bos. That's one thing, but you're contradicting yourself. You can't wish him a full recovery if you have no interest in his return to the game. You're saying you hope he recovers enough where we can't play. That's not a FULL recovery.

Gotta be cruel to be kind.

His health is already in jeopardy, I don't want to see him get tagged again.

If Savard gets any basic information on the severity of concussions in other athletes, and then thinks about his 3 young children and his $28 million guaranteed...he'd be a fool to come back.

    Sad, but true.

Bergeron came back! Didn't hear anyone say that about him! His was supposedly worse.

    Re: Savard Done for Season

Wasn't PB concussion much more severe and one of the worst we have ever seen (wheel chair case), a week or so later he couldn't even talk for more than 30 seconds at a time....... look at him now.
Pessimists want Savard to disappear and optimists want a full recovery and see him return.
At the end of the day it's should be up to the experts (doctors) and Savard himself. Nobody on this board is qualified to make these decisions (although some think they are).

Well unlike the rest Savvy I hope you can recover & come back 100% & play the game you love. If you're cleared to play by specialist who have a degree & say the opposite of these people then I hope you make it back!

    Re: Savard Done for Season

I have to agree with NAS that I don't want to see Savard returning to the game.  After all, he's nearly ten years older than Bergeron was when he had his concussion, and I think it would be difficult to see him return to the ice.  That's a very painful thing to say - I love Savvy- but I don't want to be standing on pins and needles, w/hand on heart, trying to watch him play if he returns.  I do wish all the best with his health and hope he retires to have a healthy life with his family.

Bergeron was 10 years younger you idiot. Savvy is done. Let's hope for his sake he hangs them up.
