Sens Lose. Time for the Caps to make their move?

This could be interesting. Ottawa looks disinterested again today with their full lineup.

If Washington wins and the Panthers only get one point tonight then the B's will be playing the Caps, featuring Braden Holtby in net.

If Florida does not get a point and the Caps win the B's still play Ottawa in the first round.

    Wow.

What? Looks like they are pretty motivated!!

Off topic but do you think Bergeron's performance today just solidified his winning of the Selke? What a way to end the season!

damn, i would much rather play ottawa... Caps have been playing much better hockey as of late... they won't be a push-over.

It would be a shame if he doesn't...I think the Caps will end up blowing this...too much good fortune too early!

It all rests on Holtby now. I would be very nervous if I were Dale Hunter.

67 points and plus 38 - if he doesn't win it there's some very wrong with the selection process.

Agreed. Today I think was the exclamation point. What a turnaround from a few years ago for him. I thought he may have been done. Thank god he wasn't.

Oops sorry didn't see this thread.
    3-0 Caps.
Washington would have been my dark horse going into the playoffs and now the Bruins might end up playing them.
Rangers did put Lundqvist in nets, I was sure they were going for the Presidents trophy.

HOW DARE YOU IGNORE MY THREAD AND CREATE A COMPETING ONE!!! LOL!!

Things are going all crazy today. you're right. I don't think the Rangers are playing to lose but man are they stinking up the place so far. Washington really wants this. It may be all up to Florida as to how it plays out. Who would have thought.....

I think Ottawa didn't care of the outcome.  I heard York (ex-Sens player) say he'de rather the Sens play the Rangers over the Bruins.

If I were the Sens I would too. They had a winning record against the Rangers this year and NYR are basically stumbling into the playoffs. B's....not so much, even with the likes of Turco and Khudobin in net.

It's just destiny for the Bruins to play the Caps.
Caps leading 4-0 now and Florida 2-0 over the Canes.

So much for an easy 1st round LOL....  Just last night with at my game I was saying watch out for Washington, they're the dark horse.  I was sure Rags wanted to win the Presidents trophy and tonight would have been a statement game for the 1st round.  WRONG !
Anyway, a hard first round will power up the Bruins.

I'm OK with it. Caps are a tougher opponent for sure, but they're not PIT, NYR or even NJ.

To be a champion, you've got to beat anybody at any given time.

Sometimes an easy first round spells trouble later on.

    4-1 WASH after 2 periods...

NOT looking forward to playing Washington (something about our propensity to making goalies look like George Vezina).

Well, one positive is that apparently Wideman is on their top pairing. Lucic is going to destroy his confidence for all time.
