Ah man how many times do I need to repeat .
The way the bruins team is built vs mtl its a recipe for break sways. Mtl hasn't seen its last breakaways or 2on 1 ir 3on1 for that matter. Bruins won't stop it only rask can . Rask makes big money so up to him to prove hrs a money goali. He hasn't since hrs been in boston.
I thought rask would be a franchise goali a hen rik type even better but I was wrong he doesn't make enough key saves and too often he loses the tight important games that leads to a series loss .
He's going though so who knows .
Lunqvist is a franchise goalie and Rask isn't? What has Lundqvist done in the NHL that Rask hasn't?
Repeating the same crap over and over doesn't make it any more "right" you know. Rask is one of the top goalies in the league, is a Vezina candidate this year and probably should/could have been last season. While we'd all love to see him stone everyone who throws a puck in his general direction, the fact is that sometimes the other guys make their shots.
Right now, the Canadiens are scoring on every good chance they get. It "feels" like they must have a 90% scoring rate per scoring chance (although I know that's not the case). I would submit that the goals Price has let up are probably "softer" than those Rask has let up.
The bottom line is that the B's haven't played "their game" and up to their full potential for more than a few minutes at a time. I don't think Price is in their heads, and I don't think the Habs have their number. They just need to execute their gameplan from the opening whistle.
As for the "Rask shoulda saved that/Weise is a bum" line, remember that these are NHL players, even the "bad" ones can score on a breakaway - heck, look at Shawn Thornton's penalty shot goal two years ago for proof.
The difference is how many 'sure' goals either goalie has stopped. That title goes to Price, without a doubt. And there have been more 'sure' goals than the softies. Price won game 1. Rask needs to win one or at least keep the Bs in the game.
