Streit, Islanders can't come to terms

Same thing as Jagr, team tried to re-sign him, couldnt so they dealt him. Adding Streit and Jagr to a power play unit would make it difficult for Ward to screw it up.

Now that would be a real challenge (remember the ear piece?):

Streit: There isn't going to be much more ice, I can't go any further.
Cedfano: I may have a shot.
Cedfano: It's not clean. Repeat, I do not have a clean shot. There's a shotblocker ahead!
Ward: Can you get into a better position?
    Jagr: Negative. There's not time!
    Ward: Take the shot.
Ward: I said, take the shot!
Cedfano: I can't, I may hit Fat Lu!

    Ward: Take the bloody shot!
    DK: Fat Lu is down...

I would be excited for either Dan Boyle or Mark Streit. Im eager to see what they do over the next 20hrs or so.

Neely was just on with Felger & Mazz on 98.5 The Sports Hub and said they will continue to look for upgrades leading up to the deadline tomorrow.

They still have the assets and cap room to get a top 4-D, but i wonder if they will be agressive enough and add an additional forward like a Hemsky or Clowe.

If they end up with a trio of Jagr, Streit/Boyle/Yandle, Clowe/Hemsky then thats as close to a homerun you can get considering what transpired with the Iginla stuff.

    Lucic-Krejci-Jagr

    Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin

    Hemsky/Clowe-Soderberg-Horton

    Paille-Campbell-Thorton

    Chara-Hamilton

    Seidenberg-Boyle/Yandle/Streit

    Ference-Boychuk

Well, we already know PC was targeting Whitney from EDM just last week so he is, indeed looking to ugrade the D.

Will be a fun 24 hours to be sure....

Seriously: I would still go after Robidas, and if he doesn't pan out, Streit, Yandle, Campbell or Whitney.

I doubt Phoenix is keen to move Yandle, and I don't think Tallon will part with his Binky Campbell, so that leaves Streit and Whitney.
