    How do you break someone's ankle with a one handed slash?

    According too "Colin Campbell Logic" ?

    Kelly is brittle and not tough apparently...

    I didn't see the game last night since I was out, but was Dupuis a two handed slash or not?

    This isn't a shocker considering all of the garbage you're spewing about it.

    Dupuis was going for the puck...apparently.

    I think a lot of you are going to be shocked at the length of Thorton's suspension... I think they are going to make an example here of ST.... and no matter how you try to slice it , it was wrong and really has no place in hockey.....I happen to like Thorton,his is a thankless job,  but he made a terrible decision which he now regrets.......the pressure that will be applied to Shanahan from his bosses to deal with this severely will be the telling tale.... People on the outside are also looking to the NHL and how they react to this and wheather they are really serious about cleaning up the game.

    Because you cannot prove intent, and it would be understandable if the player said otherwise, I doubt these two will stand.  The league could have called Orpik for his shot to the head of Eriksson.  I'm sort of surprised that they didn't.

    Thought it wasn't a head shot you said it was a clean hit shouldn't be any suspension now your saying the league should of done something.Like make up your mind man your loosing your not admitting you were wrong are you.

    See, this is the problem with guys like you who don't read everything that's written.  After watching it many, many times, I finally saw the contact to the head and posted as much.

    Read first.  Post last.  Pay attention.

    I agree w/ this assessment but really Neal's was the worst and is deserving of a harsh suspension, just my opinion.

    I have already posted this in another thread:

    Orpik - 0      He deserves 1for the hit on the head.  Missed call. Sorry Orpik saw Eriksson in a           vulnerable postion.  Clean hit, talking about codes in hockey gone awry.

    Neal - 1       He deserves 3. Mario will lobby one.

    Thornton - 7  Just like 70s hockey, it is not the 70s.

    Dupris -  0  He should have been given a penalty but not a suspension.

    Phaneuf - 3   Another missed call.  What else can one say about Captain Canada? Olympics...Ha.

    If this keeps up Providence will be Boston by January.

    I think Neal gets 5. He's a repeat offender, with his previous suspension being for a headshot as well.

    Re: Suspension estimates - 12/7 Pittsburg aftermath

    Boychuk, Thornton, Kelly, Eriksson, Miller, Hamilton.  That's potentially six players down in 3 games (even if one is a suspension).  I don't remember such a rash of openings happening any time in recent years.

    Let's hope at least Hamilton's hurt is minor.

    Guesses at suspensions:

    Orpik = 0

    Neal = 2

    Thornton = 8

    Dupuis = 0

    Phaneuf = 2 (No suspension history, right?  Would be 4-5 otherwise).

    Sad this junk has taken over like cockroaches.

    Neal should get 7 but will get 4.   ST is gonna get 10.  Orpik 0.  Dupi 0.  Dion 3.

    Re: Suspension estimates - 12/7 Pittsburg aftermath

    I honestly think that Neal's was the dirtiest, followed by Thornton and Phaneuf.  But most of the estimates here seem about right.

    If Marchand goes off on a stretcher, Neal gets 10 games.
