Yep... keep him there. They're bloody dangerous together. They looked more like a second or third line than a fourth. I don't see any problems with the four lines and three defensive pairings. I think CJ may finally have found the right combinations.

Played great, but with Thorn, NAS is correct, they cant be on ice as a full unit in last of a close game, even though Camp and Wheel are great PK guys.

Today was not close....every team has 4 lines..ours just happens to be real good right now. When you can roll 4 lines like we have going now , you can make it really tough on the opposition.

    Re: The 4th line

Whats interesting in todays league is that the 4th line was yesterdays 3rd line.

First two were skilled lines , third line penalty kill/Shadow opposings best lines and 4th would sparingly play in the game , especially on the 3rd period.

What CJ does well vs other coaches is that he plays all 4 lines when its 5 on 5 situations. A guy like Campbell shouldn't really be sitting long on the bench. He really could play on the third line imo

But we have a nice added luxury having a player like Campbell, Wheeler, Marchand who could play off the 4th line

Correct today was not close, but when it is, Thorn needs to ride the pine.

It also makes it easier on the opposition when they can throw out the top skilled line against a not as skilled line when you roll 4.

Most importantly,CJ has to make sure that whoever is matched up against the 4th line is his choice. He can't be putting them out there late on the road when the other team can just roll their 1st line with last change(like in Montreal). It seems he's learning from his mistakes though. The difference in the last 10 games is that Boston has still played well in the losses. The effort's been pretty consistent.Another 2 points tomorrow should go a long ways towards winning over some of the more hardened skeptics.
