Are we seeing a warm and fuzzy version of NAS lately?
You seem...ummm....tranquil. /;^)

Hockey is back and we're all a bit better for it. I haven't yelled at any of the kids since the lockout was declared over :P

I think the natives are restless, more fights than usual, NAS out of character.
Pretty much like long waiting addicts just before they get their fix.

Not at all! I'm still taking my jabs when I can, but I started simply not responding at all to the complete dopes who offer nothing but foolishness or bile.
So shut up. (Is that better?) -

My 2-year-old will be quite confused about her new bed time, which will conveniently be 15-20 minutes earlier than normal on Saturday night and several nights thereafter.

I'm feeling surprisingly excited considering that two weeks ago I felt largely indifferent about whether they reached a deal or not. Maybe it was just a coping mechanism.
I'm pumped.
You might even say jacked and pumped...

In the mountain time zone the Bruins play at 5:00 on Saturday and the Pats play at 4:30 on Sunday. It's gonna be a sub-par parenting weekend...

I wonder what the boycotters will be doing tomorrow.
My bet: Watching NHL hockey.

But I'm not going to be there, it's tv only.I was gravitating in this direction anyway. Tix are too expensive.
The AHL is so much cheaper.
Back in 09-10 the Providence Bruins had Marchand, Sobotka and McQuaid.
And for another kind of entertainment, Kampfer, Hamill, Riendeau, Lehtonen and Whitfield.

I agree, BHab. The days of going to 5-10 games a year are over. AHL hockey live is a lot of fun.

I'd go to more games if I lived in Boston, but the lockout won't change the number.

The NHL is just too darn expensive. The balcony is awful, just too far away.In the AHL all the rinks are small and you're always close. Parking $6, tix 20-35, food around the rinks is cheaper (and better), food in the rink is cheaper.
Plus the hassle. Getting into Boston is always a pain, I have to leave work early and I get home late. The value of an NHL game just isn't there.
It's TV only for me unless I get some gift tickets.

and speaking on going to games I'm feeling generous again. I think I'll have an extra ticket for the 31st this month, last of the free concessions at the Garden , aganst Buffalo. I think I'll go back to my old ways and offer the ticket here on BDC.
Stay tuned.

Disappointed that the NHL network doesn't have a mid day game. I would have thought they would have made it a point to get games on and attract back or gain fans that they might have been missing out on through the lockout.

I think I would go to very few games if I was in Boston. The Bruins are too popular and the tickets are too expensive. What's more, is that good hockey abounds all over the place. Tons of good college hockey and AHL. I actually enjoy prep hockey too, as I grew up playing at the Berkshire School rink. That's what I would be doing.
But in Denver you can take advantage of the low popularity of the NHL right now. Tickets are easy to come by and there are continuous discounted tickets which make the lower bowl affordable. It isn't wathcing the Bruins, but it is still NHL hockey at affordable prices.
Whatever though, I pity the boycott people because I can't wait for tonight.

Between NESN, NHL network, whatever national network games and the college games on tv is plenty for me to watch, it's part of my standard subscription. -

Prices are down a little. Purchased 4 tickets this week and less than I've paid last year for the same section , same ticket type. -
