Thomas's net is as open as his mouth!

Since Thomas starting opening his mouth in January his net has been just as open. He cost us a game today against the Rangers. The team played well and a win would have been a big boost...Thomas really let the team down. With a 4th string guy on the bench its tough to pull him but maybe that would have been the right call....boy is it frustrating to watch these days.

Thomas is playing the same game he has been playing. His athletic style wears him down, and Claude schedule the last four weeks has not done him any favors. Now , dependant on how serious Tuuka's problem is, some decisions will need to be made.Isn't Raycroft hanging around somewhere?

Re: Thomas's net is as open as his mouth!

When Thomas gave up that OT goal against the Capitals from center ice a couple years ago, were you posting it was because he was stumping for George Bush?

When he single-handedly gave away the game in Pittsburgh in 2010 at the end of the 3rd and OT, did you mention that TT was thinking about the political right wing?

When he was giving up goals from the corner of the rink, twice, against the Canadiens in last years playoffs, were you calling to replace him because he might have been thinking about facebook?

Then why, even though he has always been very erratic and streaky... prone to giving up bad goals as well as being so hot you couldnt put a BB past him, is now everything the fault of his politics?

He is the same guy he's ALWAYS been, just a little older.

    Grow up.

He is the same ol' TT. Lets just hope the 2010-2011 playoff TT shows up again.

Very true. But if he wins the Vezina every other year and bring Boston a Cup nearly single-handedly every so often I'll forgive a softie now and then (since all goalies do it.)

Lundqvist is the best in the world right now.  That Pouliot shot was cake.

    Lundqvist must also hate Obama.

Re: Thomas's net is as open as his mouth!

The Rangers are having a wonderful regular season.  Washington and Pittsburgh have had wonderful seasons the past few years.  Pittsburgh won a Cup a few years ago.  The Bs won a Cup last year.  No correlation in my mind on who is better or worse.  Last year, Thomas was the star on a team that played together.  His remarks although controversial are not the reason the team is not performing as well.  My guess Thomas and the team knows when the real season begins, in April!  BTW if one is a real fan of Bruins hockey check the regular season record one year ago, you will not be highly impressed!  The Bs sukked!  Yet! The Bs won the Cup.  This team has young skilled players.  They have up and coming stars and confidence to do well witness the play in November and December. So, I will go with the team concept, there Thomas is part of the team.  Politics and sports mix but only in the vernacular of politicians.

Thomas let in more then a few softies over the past couple of games.  The Bruins completely outplayed the Rangers today except for Thomas.

TT is playing the TT of old, we got spoiled before Jan 2012 rolled in, but seriously TTs game has deteriated since, i mentioned a few weeks ago he wasnt seeing the puck well and still isnt imo. Im not sure if its mental or the phsical aspects of his game. Its almost like he was before his hip surgery. I hope he gets his game back.
