pretty sure the words " grinder" and "caron" used together only when referring to a sandwich.

Feel however you'd like. That doesn't make it true. Bourque is small and he got the call too. Hey, by all means use whatever clever nicknames make you feel better. It's your opinion. I don't share it. No need for either of us to plan a hit. In fact, I bet we end up debating something else down the road. Cheers.

Fair enough, Dez. No hit required from my end, haha. Just a friendly debate.

Who knows...maybe he will step onto the third line next year due to the cap crunch and post 40 points and make me look really stupid.

No predictions on my end and I'll admit he's been a letdown so far but he's only 22 and I see some positives in his game. I think he will be an NHL'er. Whether or not it's with the Bruins I don't know.

We got our 1st rounder early this year...  Torey Krug.

Great job by the kid,  considering he played in 1 regular season game.

He'll be a regular next season.

The Bartkowski kid should be alright also.

Perhaps I should have just said he's a defensive specialist instead. At 22, he already plays with the positioning that they still try to teach to veterans. There's a reason he's rarely on for goals against while a player like Daugavins is a minus almost every year.

I think if PC would package PEV , Ferrence and Daugavins or Caron He could probably get a 1st round pick for this year's draft ...dont forget when a team gets to the Stanley Cup final they get a lot of visibilty and their players have an added value .....we have no 1st round pick this year and it would be nice to get one among the top 10 ....PC could even pay 33% of PEV's salary to help the deal ......I think with Hamilton , Krug and Bart we dont need Ferrence anymore and he has a good value as well ....

That package wouldn't get you a third, let alone a first. Stop drinking, Stanley.

You honestly think an NHL team would give up a first round pick for this group ?....And keep in mind, that the hockey experts say that there are only 4 or 5 of this years first rounders that will be bonafide NHLer's...So do we want more Caron's or who ever ?

Stanley, why do you think a first rounder is so important? When the Bruins won the Cup, they had one player on their team that the Bruins had drafted in the first round - Seguin. And last night of the players on the ice again Seguin was the only player they had drafted in the first round.

There's other ways to build a team, and PC has shown having your own first rounder isn't an absolute necessity.

So you're expecting an NHL gm to give you a 1st rounder in the top ten for Peverley and early negotiating rights to Andrew Ference and picked off waivers Daugavins... Did you finally land a gm job with a bottom 10 team without telling us??

Red draft day is always an exciting day ....this year the Bruins have to wait till the end of the 2nd round before calling a na,e ..I've seen more exciting days as a Bruins fan ...today 24 hours after the heart braking loss the dozens of emails I got from habs fans and others, I feel I woud need something exciting to boost my moral.....

    Then just wait for

    B) July 5th and free agency day

Believe me you dont want to give what it would take to land one of those top picks. No team will trade for these guys, there's nothing in this package they cant get with comparable players for nothing through free agency...

A friend of mine once saw Caron near the beach.  It was really windy, so he got pretty gritty before he went into this restaurant called the Boards and ordered a grinder.

I don't think you could get a top 5 pick in this draft for Seguin, Krug and and a first.  Which is weird, because if you offered that package to me and I had the pick, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Ah we go from troll nut case posters to wanna Bs trade proposals.  Ok Stanley let the Bs dump rejects for a first round pick??????  Try this, Seguin for Yakupov and a number one pick, throw Ference in with a second rounder to make the deal equal.  NOT going to happen.

    Don't judge me monkey!

might as well throw it all out there  Seguin-Hamilton for O'Reilly-1st pick (Jones?) Pretty interesting but doubt it could happen

Ference is a UFA and Daugavins and Caron are RFA. How exactly do you trade no guarantees and unsigned players for a first?
