Top 10 things that need to change for the Bruins to have a chance in coming back against the Habs

    1. Power Play must kick into high gear and score
    2. Lucic, Krejci and Horton line need to start scoring
    3. Get traffic in front of Carey Price
    4. Get better goaltending from Thomas or insert Rask
    5. Eliminate turning over the puck in their own zone
    6. Chara needs to come back healthy and contribute
    7. Julien needs to jiggle the lines and create more offense
    8. Give Seguin the speedy youngster some ice time to create some energy
    9. Bruins must score first in Montreal and dictate play
    10. Defenseman must join the rush and play more aggresively

This is a tall order, however possible. If the Bruins win game 3 in Montreal, the momentum of series would swing back to the Bruins. CJ take this list and execute. Otherwise, you will be executed after the series is over!

None of that is going to happen because Julien is a stubborn horrible playoff coach who believes his system is unbeatable.  The Scabs know where every pass the Bruins want to make is going to go and are there first half the time.

These where my 10 commandments for the Bruins as written on my facebook before the first game.  There is nothing complicated in there.  I will let you judge how many things the Bruins have not been able to do so far!!

‎10: TT HAS to play the SAME WAY he plays against any other team!

9: Claude Julien has to put behind all the rumors about getting fired if they don't make it to the second round. Coach to win not to save your job. Call a timeout when a timeout is needed...do not keep it for the last minute!

‎8: DO NOT pass on a chance to hit. Everyone has to chip in and finish their checks. This will wear down the Habs D and result will start to show on game 3!

7: Use SMART dump ins: Do not try to play too cute just keep it simple. Dump the puck with a purpose... away from Price and not too fast to allow a nice body check from a teammate!

6: Stay Hungry. Play to win and always look for the next goal instead of sitting on a lead!!

‎5: Use the energy from the crowd as a real home ice advantage. Never get too high and never go too low!!

4: Do not look too far ahead. It is one shift at the time one game at the time!!

3: Play every shift like if it was your last one. You do not want to have regrets about how it should have been. Just go out there and do it!!

‎2: Your biggest asset and advantage is your size. Use your physical advantage all the time!

‎1: Enjoy every second of it. Always remember that this is a game and that you've worked hard all year to get into the playoffs and that you deserve to be there. If you stop having fun...your game will slide!!

The teams problems go much deeper than Julien's coaching. Not having Chara dressed for Game 2 is one of them. 6 things on my list of things to change Julien has no control over.

Most of your list is all show and no boat. My list is specific, detailed and to the point.

    10: Get rid of Kelly
    09: Get rid of Ryder
    08: Get rid of Thomas
    07: Get rid of Lucic
    06: Gert rid of Horton
05: Get rid of all the defensemen
    04: Play Seguin
    03: Get rid of Chara
    02: Get rid of Chia
    01: Get rid of CJ

Put more simply, they have no chance of winning this series, they have been outcoached and out hustled when it matters.  Montreal will score first every game then out strategize Boston for the remaining 50 mins.

At least the Bruins outshot them two straight games!

Get rid of your stupid post. This team won 7-0 against the hapless Habs a month ago. Now all of a sudden you want to fire everybody because Price has outplayed Thomas. Get a life. Your moronic post is FIRED!

The truth hurts, the only way they win this series is with a new coach and new players.  The coach is embarrassing and the players have given up.

I guess there is always the next 40 years....

It has nothing to do with Price vs Thomas.

Its the coaching scheme and the compete level.  The Habs outplay the Bruins in the first 3 mins, get the lead, then superior coaching wins the game.  Its not rocket science.

Any goalie can save weak wristers from 20-40 with no screen.  If we traded goalies with the Habs, the outcome would be the same.

Re: Top 10 things that need to change for the Bruins to have a chance in coming back against the Habs

Okay heres my top 10 but I'm adding some common sense to the equation.

    1. Stop trying to run them through the boards and play hockey.
    2. Get the puck down low, wrist shots from the top of the circle won't do.
    3. Score the first goal--MOST IMPORTANT.
    4. hardest thing to do is put a team away, gain momentum.
    5. when you gain momentum use home ice to your benefit.
    6. Carey Price has stopped every puck he is supposed to, he has so much pressure on him this postseason, make him feel some of it and see how he reacts.
    7. I would insert Seguin even if it means he just sees time on the 2nd power play unit.
    8. Calm down. There is plenty of hockey left, let them come out too revved up and capitalize on their mistakes.
    9. weather that first 5 minutes of the next game and it will go a long way.
    10. Without taking a stupid penalty make it uncomfortable for those small forwards in the neutral zone, they have way too much speed in their transition game, too many of our d-men are out of position and showing their speed almost too much respect.

Play Seguin - this team cant score... hes one of the most talented players on the team, he just needs a chance. aka more ice time! cant do anything when your playing 8-9 minutes a game playing alongside Campbell and Thornton.

Re: Top 10 things that need to change for the Bruins to have a chance in coming back against the Habs

My list.  simple.  easy to remember.  2 things.

    1) Fundamentals:
Fundamental hockey, no blind passes, follow through on your checks, no stupid penalties, keep your stick on the ice.

    2) Puck possesion in the offensive zone.
Stop pointing at the SOG stat, outshooting them 40 to 20 is probably going to be another Bruins loss.
In those even man rushes, keep the puck - DON'T take that top of face off circle wrister.  Better to lose the puck in the corner rather than another useless SOG.

The Bruins are bigger, they need to slow things down and keep possesion, the Habs just aren't big enough to push them out from in front or win the muscle battles in the corners.
The perimeter shots are coming before anyone can even get to the front of the net.

If we traded goalies and had Price, we would have one at least one game at home and the series. Thats why you are writing posts and GM's making moves and trades. PC's trades have not come through.

Seguin is a youngster who is still learning the game. Inserting him into the line-up is a move to increase speed and energy. However, the Bruins problems lie much deeper than not having Seguin in the line up.

If i was the coach the first thing that i would have done to prepare my team for the habs would have been to show them the tape of that 7-0 game and show them how good they are when they play their game.  Since I am almost sure that Julien did not do it maybe now would be the time to show them the tape to remind them that they can score goals vs the Habs!!

I actually agree with this post but your previous post was moronic.  Also, Thomas is not getting it done.  Julien is doing now what Martin did against the Leafs all those years ago when the Sens should have won the cup.
