[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Toronto Record Tracker : Burke has 7Mil to spend this summer if he trades one of his best players Kaberle to free up space he will then need to replace that player. 14Mil for 3 players or 7Mil for 2 players will not fill all the holes that Toronto have. They will not finish with 2nd worst record but they will not make the playoffs either. Carolina will be back in the playoffs next year so there will be no room.

I don't believe you can make any real accurate guesses. This league has achieved parity and the difference between the best team and the worst is infinitely closer than the days of the Cleveland Barons and the Montreal Canadians.
I think you can only predict the generalities, playoff vs. non-playoff, top playoff teams and worst non-playoff teams.
For the Leafs I would say a non-playoff team and it would not surprise me if they were near or at the bottom again.
I would be surprised if Leafs make the playoffs.
I would be surprised if TB and Carolina did not make the playoffs.
I would be surprised if Atlanta makes the playoffs.
It would not surprise me to see the Flyers and/or Rangers go into free fall. Lundqvist might be pulling a Raycroft. Without real solid goaltending, the Rangers could fall apart.
I think Buffalo will get a little worse next year.
I think NJ will be worse next year, Brodeur, seems to be developing some cracks in his rock hard foundation.
Caps rule again.
Bruins will probably be a little better.
I wouldn't bet any money on any of my predictions, other than the Caps and Pens making the playoffs or something like that.
For the Leafs, I see nothing to get excited about. Nazem Kadri - a "super stud" as I saw in one of the magazines - that would surprise me.
