Tuukka Rask Contract Negotiations

Just a week ago, I thought he was potentially trade bait or would sign a short term deal for around $3M - $3.5M. Now things have changed given the Thomas situation.
The Bruins now view him as their starting goaltender (I think), so should he be paid as one?
Do the Bs still give him a 2 to 3 year deal worth approximately $3.5M per? Or do they lock him up and give him a Thomas type deal of 4 or 5 years worth $5M per?
I say lock him up...offer 5 Years, $20M. Cap hit of $4M is reasonable and benefits both sides. Tuukka gets security and a substantial pay raise and the Bruins get a starting goalie locked up at a fair cap number that could potentially look like a bargain given Tuukka's skills.
