Boston Bruins backup goaltender Tuukka Rask has his eye on returning from injury next week.
“I’d like to get in a game before season is over,” Rask told CSNNE.com. “But to be ready for playoffs is the goal.”
Rask, 22, has been sidelined since March 3 with a lower abdomen/groin strain that was suffered in the Bruins’ 3-2 loss to the New York Islanders.
The injury was initially expected to keep Rask out of action for four-to-six weeks. The Bruins added veteran netminder Marty Turco to take Rask’s place as Tim Thomas’ backup.
Rask has played in 23 games during the 2011-12 season, compiling a 11-8-3 record, while holding a 2.05 goals against average and notching three shutouts

This would very good news if we could get Rask to start a game before the playoffs. I think we would all like to see that.
