Slowest board check I've seen in the NHL. Unfortunate that Raymond was injured but that hit was anything but vicious.

fractured vertebra, so back or hip. 4-6 months to recover. Boychuk won't face any discipline.

It was a weird play, Raymond appeared to have the puck for a split second, or rather was about to collect a puck that he appeared that he would handle easily.  But Raymond never collected the puck.  True, Raymond never did collect the puck, but this play happens all of the time, most specifically when there is a loose puck in front.

Should he have ridden him into the boards?  Not sure about that, but he certainly didn't ride him into the boards hard.

Was Raymond in an awkward position?  Yes, but not one that seemed dangerous at the time, it wasn't as if he was doubled over and it was obvious that his head would make contact with the boards first.

Being as neutral as I can be I would call this an incidental injury along the same lines as deflecting a shot and it ends up hitting a player in the face and causing serious injury.

Because they didn't think Rome should be suspended and CanKnuckleheads want equality for all the players they are missing. Not even going to look at the Canadian media this morning pushing for this suspension because it was more of a hockey play than the Rome hit.

Boychuk lost site of the puck and thought it was under Raymond any other thoughts on the hit is pure speculation. I expect a phone hear possibly with Murphy, Chiarelli and Boychuk but nothing more just like Ference's hit in the Montreal series.

Using Canuck fan logic means these playoffs should've lasted only 16 games for them, all 15 to 0 scores.

It was certainly awkward, thats for sure.
    Fans chanting was an embarrasment.
Wish Raymond a full recovery. Freak accident, wish it didn't happen.
Of course Vancouver fans want a suspension, but they want Thomas suspended for slashing Burrows for knocking the stick out of his hand too.
