First of all, it is becoming evident what key pieces PAILLE and PEVERLY are. The "layered" system of team defence is simply not there.
Question? Can the BRUINS possibly re-structure their practices and game-plan, and move to a defence-first mentality? It may be boring, and the offence may be less productive, and it may not contribute to a lot of wins, but it may help the current roster find this part of their game until players (hopefully) get healthy.
