    worst deal of free agency

make your pick make your pick. so far, i would say clowe at 4.85 per for 5 years. looks real bad. oh well, they can buy him out in the off season.

Komasarik to Carolina without a doubt. This guy is horrible and should be out of hockey. Jimmy Rutherford should watch these guys play before he signs them. I don't care if its the league minimum.

    Horton.

    Seven years is awful.

    Or

    Riberio.   Because he's a dungpile.

I'd agree with NAS on Horton because of the 7 years.

Horton and Clarkson deals nearly identical. I'd take Horton if forced.

    I dont get it.

I thought with Howson gone,  a great late part of the season, colombus was on the right track.

Love what Davidson and Kekkolainen buildt in St Louis, and now this?

ridicolus contract easily the worst of the day so far.

still can't believe 3 goals from a forward gets you 4.85 mill. i'm not completely convinced i couldn't have put up those numbers with a little PP time

Well, I've only seen Mike Komiserek play against the Bruins. Milan Lucic beats him up so he must be bad.

    Seriously?

5 mil cap hit for Horton, isn't bad as far as 7 yrs who cares if he gets hurt,LTR doesn't go against cap,you want an impact player that's what it's going to cost, you can pick up a player in his forties for 1 or 2 yrs, that's all your going to get,so guess that means Jagr is comming back

Every deal made today will be regretted.

Everyone overpaid for underachieving talent, injury-prone vets, or old men.

Re: worst deal of free agency

I think Horton for 7 years with his string of injury problems and his underlying reasons for wanting to play there are going to come back to haunt Columbus.  Clowe's is bad too but Jersey has okay skill and really needs some sandpaper.  Clarkson also brings both scoring and grit so it is a little better than Horton's deal.  I am not sure Nathan can play as gritty as he has in the past.
