I like kane a lot.  Mainly for doing something the bruins couldnt.  His one punch of cooke is just awesome.

Kane is very young, i think hes very immature.  But i also see a lot of iggy in him.  He can dominate, plays power game, skilled and can flat out fly.  If this offer were even close to being valid i would do it in a heart beat but thats based a lot of my not really being a fan of DK.

Quit saying what I'm thinking or people will start to talk.

Its not happening.  But i would like to see seguin at center.

    Seguin kane lucic.

    Horton bergie marchand.

Not happening and i dont want to touch the top 2 lines.

I want sarich and jackman from calgary.  And i want chimera for the 3rd line.

if you want seguin at center why do you have him listed at left wing? and do you want a whole new team while you're at it?

Just stop it.  I named the 6 fwds.  And news flash.  Its the nhl.  Players at fwd position can play other positions especially switching wings.  i dont want horton on the lw either.   did i mention stop it.  Ok good.

No.  Not a new team.  I want chimera on the 3rd.  Presently a vacant spot there.  I want jackman for the 4th line bc he can play and can fight when the need arises.  ST to the bleachers, hes just a bad player and no longer fights.   And i want sarich for depth.  I dont trust AF this year and should there be any type of injury he can fill in and in my eyes is an upgrade back there.

do you think the bruins are gonna have the current lineup when the playoffs start?  A 3rd line winger and a depth dman is a must in my eyes.  Not immediately, but prior to deadline.

3rd line winger and a depth d man? absolutely reasonable. 3rd line winger, 4th line winger, d man, trading your leading scorer and top center for a winger, and then moving a winger to center to accomodate the move? not reasonable.

You need to read better.  Ive said two times that i dont think this trade happens.  I would love it to happen.  But not gonna. I dont think we need a major upgrade which is why i continue to mention small upgrades on the bottom 6 and 7th def.

CJ's job is to maximize/optimize the roster that he is given by PC, so I agree that given the players he has on his team, he has made the right choices.

The game is not all about scoring and nobody emphasizes that more than CJ.  It would be great to see him recognize that scoring is a pretty important part of the game and get a little more aggressive from time-to-time.

No, it wouldn't.  The B's are 10-2-2.  Winning is more important than scoring.  I can't wait until the 2015-2016 season when CJ becomes the winningest coach in Bruins history and all you CJ haters can suck it.

Kind of an aggressive response to a fairly benign point?

The B's are 10-2-2, and that's great.  Guess what?  They were 49-29-4 last year, good enough for 102 regular season points and a 2nd seed in the confernece.

What happened in the playoffs?  They scored 15 goals in 7 games (8.7% PP) and made a 3rd string goalie look like Ken Dryden.

Not "CJ Hating" to point out the facts and seek potential improvements.  Good thing we have a CJ fan-boy like you to celebrate things like regular season wins for us.  Here's hoping for a President's Trophy too!

This goes with the "Complaining about 10-2-2" thread. If Chiarell wasn't flying around the NorthEast looking for ways to improve an already great team, I would go as far as to say he isn't doing his job.

Julien has gotten past the 2nd round of the playoffs in Boston once, not great with the talent he's had. Yes even good coaches need depth help so if a guy like Horton goes down there is someone to pick up the slack.

    Good reply Crowles!

CJ is as successful as anybody else in the league.  In the last four seasons, the Bruins and Blackhawks have won more playoff rounds than anybody else.

    Bruins have won 6 rounds.

    Blackhawks  6.

    Flyers  5.

    Canucks  5.

    Red Wings  5.

    Penguins  5.

Eliminated in the 1st round twice, epic historical collapse after a 3-0 lead, 3 times has lost a game 7- two at home and bailed out twice by Horton game 7s.

Yeah, like I said, as successful as any other team in the league.  The teams I mentioned are the most successful playoff teams since '09.

They've all been eliminated in the first round.  The Bruins only once in the last 4 seasons (Blackhawks twice, Penguins twice).  They all lost game 7s (I'm not sure what you mean by this.  If I am to lose, I'd rather lose in 7 games than lose in 4).  I agree about Horton, CJ is the only coach in the league who has had him score in game 7s.

    That list of 6 teams...

    3 have won the cup.

    3 have been there.

I won't even count 2009-2010 against Julien. By game 4, he was playing with half of an AHL team and his best player was concussed. Then you think about how the healthy players had been playing that year, and you realize that team wasn't going anywhere anyways. His forwards from games 4-7 were:

Savard, Bergeron, Recchi, Ryder, Wheeler, Lucic, Satan, Paille, Thornton, Sobotka, Lucic, Marchand, Whitfield.

Let's forget the fact they had a rookie in net.

Yes, it was awful to see. Yes, I had a hard time sleeping that night. But after they won the cup, I looked back and realized that they really didn't stand a shot against Chicago if they made it that far.

2008? When they were the worst team on paper in the league? They didn't have a single 20 goal scorer on their team that year. I won't hold that against Claude.

Since 2008, the Bruins are 3-4 in Game 7's.

They are 6-4 in playoff series'.

I don't care what game they win it, how many games it took, etc. I'll take what they're doing.

But when it comes down to overtime in game 7's, or the waning minutes of regulation, that's on the players at that point.

If Horton dosen't score and Montreal does that's Julien's 4th game 7 loss. The same could be said if Horton doesn't score in the Tampa game 7. Either way Julien gets bailed out.

Nobody could ever look worse than you after dropping what you are doing on a Friday night to call out a well respected poster on here but that almost topped your supposed movie theatre confession.

    If if if if if

If Crosby didn't score in OT but the USA did, Canada wouldn't have won the Gold medal.

If Chiarelli hadn't traded Kessel to Toronto, Seguin and Hamilton wouldn't be on the Bruins right now.

If JFK had gone top up, he wouldn't have been killed that day.

    None of this matters.

Julien has done a great job coaching this team.  There are a few aspects that I'd like to see changed (fourth line out after a goal is one of them) but to crap all over him because of things that didn't happen is absurd...but right in line with everything else you're posting today.

That is the purpose of Horton - to score the timely goals.

Many on this Board thought he was going to score 40-50 a year - Not a chance. Score when you need it - now you're talking.

You cannot get around Juliens coaching record in the playoffs nor him being fired by Lou Lam. Those are nit IFs nor is it crap.
