Huml had NHL talent, just zero drive. He was also a late 2nd round pick, not a first.

Beware drafting guys out of the Junior B ranks at the top of the draft. Colborne was mid first round at least, but remember guys like Ivan Huml? Big fish in small ponds don't usually survive with the bigger predators. Sorry Kyle Turris.

You don't trade for any freeagent of any kind without a window to sign him before the deal is finalized. This is particularly critical when the price for the player is a first round pick or better(and it would require more a first to get Yandle),Personally,if they are going to to trade for a truly outstanding player and are prepared to surrender top draft picks and/or players I'd want a guy that puts the puck in the net at least 30-40 times a season.

Chara, Seidenberg, Boychuck, Ference, and even Kampfer play more minutes per game than Stuart. Posted by siestafiesta
Boychuck is our worst D man this year... someone overvalues his "potential."

In Response to Re: Would you trade... : You are right there, Kyle Turris has been a flop. Maybe the ol' " change will do him good " might work.

Might be a good idea. Let's exchange flops - Turris for Hamill. And we'll keep our fingers crossed.
