And DA is our R.C Buford ? The Celtic FO for the last several years has turned our beloved Celtics into a backwater franchise that is irrelevant. Until valued free agents see Boston as an attractive destination, the Celts will continue to be irrelevant and posters on this board will be debating about 2nd round draft choices.
Wait - who, again, among Bonner, Bellinelli, Diaw, Baynes, Mills, Joseph, Splitter, Green were "valued free agents" who wouldn't/didn't want to come to Boston?
And who have you heard was ever pursuing them?
They were valued by the Spurs because they had a defined purpose in mind for their team philosophy. They look around and then dial up an actual player type, a personality, character, skill set, and plug them into the team concept they have already envisioned.
In most all other cases teams race to sign the "best" free-agents that are available and then try and figure out how to piece a team together.
In truth, these guys, to most other teams, have been garden variety players.
