    Fiercest, you are right.

It was the pick and roll executed to perfection.

Every pick and roll person was capable of making the shot off the roll and they did.  Whether it was KG or Bass or even Moore, everytime they did the pick and roll with Pierce out front, they got good, open looks.  Many of them they made too.

There really is no defense for that.

In Response to 5 on 5 in the 4th qtr.:
[QUOTE]Pierce, KG, Pietrus, Bass and Moore, everybody can shoot and score. How will you defend that? Maybe the weakest link among the 5 is Moore. But Moore scored 10 points in the 4th qtr. When was the last time a Celtics PG scored that many points in the 4th qtr.? Moore didn't have to be a leader. Nor did he need to deliver the ball perfectly to his teammates. All Moore did was follow the system. Hit the open shot. Bring the ball across halfcourt. Play good D. And more importantly Moore was not afraid to take the big shot.  With almost 5 minutes remaining, Moore was on a fastbreak with 2 defenders on him, instead of pulling back to wait for his teammates, he drove to the basket and scored. Gutsy! Moore then went 2-2 from the FT line to seal the deal. The Celtics were not flashy nor fancy in the victory against the Magic last night. They just played the right way.

Our flashy and fancy PG is injured.... and it showed when our shooters were issued their "get out of jail" cards in the 4th quarter and could go to work with proper spacing.

Moore showed how important having a point guard who is capable of hitting the outside shot is to the Celtics.  With Rondo in the game we don't win last night!!  If we can use Rondo and Ray to get a guy who can rebound and score, i'm all for it.

Ray would have helped us at the end of the game,we would have given him the ball and made the Magic foul him. Pierce missed some big free throws last night, we were lucky the Magic missed their last few shots. That would have been a bad way to lose, after we came all the way back!!

Man, the best game the C's played all year and I missed it. Incredible comeback.

Does anyone think starting Pietrus and bringing RA off the bench would be a good move. It gives the starters more defense while still spreading the floor with his shooting. In addition RA gives our 2nd unit scoring with Moore in the backcourt. The 2nd unit doesn't really have a go-to player but RA would become that guy.

Just a suggestion on saving RA's legs.

Still can't believe they beat them WITHOUT RA and Rondo. LOL!

Well I approve the move now. :-)  Good suggestion

It allows Pietrus to play bigger SG's. We could really get daring and play this unit at times
    RA
    Pietrus
    PP
    KG
    JON

This would resemble the old Bulls team where you don't really have a PG. PP could play the Pt Forward.

Hold your horses....this was a flawed Orlando team.  A good comeback!  A good win!!! Orlando is nowhere near an elite team and Bradley and Moore would probably get their lunch taken by Wade, CP3, Ellis, Rose, and Dwill.

I don't quite get your point. You just named 4 of the top gaurds in the league....they're taking everyone's lunch.

The point is it was a good win for a team that didn't have 2 starters down by 27and is considered old. It was good to see some youth excel with the vets.

    Don't be a fun snatcher!

Orlando just wiped the floor with Indiana. And that's a pretty good team.

Hard to say Pierce almost cost us the game when he was the best player on the floor when we were coming back.  HIs play in the second half was great, along KG, Moore, Bass, etc.  If he missed a few at the end, I ain't mad at him because once we got the lead, it was defense that was going to win the game, anyway.
