"The only way this team doesn't win 36-44 is if Ainge doesn't let them. And by that I obviously mean a combination of trading both Rondo and 2-3 of the 5 other veteran/leadership/been there before guys."

I for one hope Ainge does step in if that's the case. We need to hit the lottery to become a championship team in the NBA again. That's how it works.

Those who are content with getting creamed in the playoffs by the Heat or the Pacers in the first round may think otherwise.

Not really sure what this thread is about....it's all over the place....too many names.  But, I do know this......with the many knowledgeable posters that have commented on here, I know NO ONE is saying Brad Stevens is a better coach than Rick Pitino....and as long as we all understand that, I'll allow the thread to continue......LOL

Stevens may well develop into a better NBA coach than Pitino who couldn't judge NBA talent or use it when he had it.  If Stevens just loads up with former Butler players then he'd be just like Pitino.  I think he'll be more successful in the NBA than Pitino was and would ever be.  Ricky thinks every player is four months removed from high school and enamored with him, which might be fine at Kentucky and Louisville but surely didn't work in Boston.

This Celtics team has won 23-24 games and lost 13-14 by 5 points or less.

Anyone who thought in November it was impossible for them to win 30 games was a fool.

    Duh

There is a mandate to TANK and play hard until the last few minutes and blow games.

All Ainge had to do was make 1-2 moves that were readily available for him (Asik could've been ours no problem) and this was a 40 win team.

    You don't get this?

    Yeesh... pretty dumb.

Come on Rame. You schooled Fierc(y) in quite some aspects, congratulations. You really have some knowledge about the games and its rules.

But in this topic, you were clearly wrong. This team was bad from the begin with. Flawed in so many aspects (size, shoting) and went through a big overhaul (lost their best scorer, closer, vocal leader, defender, coach and was without their PG for long periods, ...).

Many have foreseen it, you haven't, no big deal. But to call other members here a fool or dumb, cause the knew from the begin with that we stink is pretty poor sportmanship.
