    AB may get suspended too

We all saw Rondo's boneheaded tantrum last night. He clearly added a slight body check into the lame ref.

Now that I read the rule and the key word "intentional"... its quite possible AB gets a game off too. Bradley clearly extended his hand and touched the ref in an attempt to calm the situation down. But the rule says:

"Any player or coach guilty of intentional physical contact with an official shall automatically be suspended without pay for one game. A fine and/or longer period of suspension will result if circumstances so dictate."

This describes exactly what AB did although his was with peaceful intent.. How anal will the NBA/Stern get?

Let's not get crazy here. Bradley won't be suspended, it will be bad enough with just Rondo out.

The League won't embarrass itself and open itself up for criticsm (and draw more attention to the 2 stupid calls by the same ref) by suspending AB.   The attention will be on Rondo and he'll get one game, I bet.

Sorry, but if Rhondo get's suspended and he should, he needs to get at least TWO GAMES!!  Here's the support for this, in February Rhondo got two games for throwing the ball at the Ref and now he is a repeat offender!!  All the bs about how MWP needs to get suspended for the playoffs and now little Rhondo throws a tantrum and sinks the C's in game one of playoffs.  It will be a travesty if the league does not suspend Rhondo for at least two games based on previous infractions with the refs.  Home teams that win the first game of the playoffs go on to win the series 80% of the time.  Will the C's be in that 20% category?

Must be hard to write all that with not a word of truth in it.

Throwing a "tantrum" and throwing a violent elbow that gives someone a concussion are two different things!!
The Hawks are NOT better than us, they will never shoot like that again, and neither will we.  They only scored 83 points - defense is not the problem!!  We still win in 6!

AB is not going to get suspended.  Rondo is more likely to be suspended for one game.

First I never want Boston ever trade Rondo due he is the main key for the team. Now after seeing him to make a bonehead hit on ref, he got to go!!!

    Let's be objective here.

Rondo's dust-ups with the refs are condemned by the league, rightly, because they show disrespect towards league officials.  But Rondo's childish behavior pails in comparison to the intent to inflict (serious) bodily harm that is at the root of nearly every pin-head "peace" suspension. Talk about oxy-moron, "MW-peace" personifies the word!

Oh really?  Little Rhondo needs anger management period!  Guess you did not hear about his little tantrum in a team meeting reviewing film where he threw a video machine and stormed out of the room pouting like a little 6 yr old.  Then there's the two game suspension for heaving ball at the refs vitals costing him two games and now this chest bumping a ref in back while crying like a little baby?  Rhondo should be suspended for the entire playoff series!

chances are very low.  this team is not even set up to be as competitive in the post season as the 2002 celts were, if you wanted to be honest about it.

age and the wrong people playing the wrong positions.  paul has to stick a much younger joe johnson,  piettrus playing like ray charles, and bass starts out the series like a flatliner against josh smith.  meanwhile you can't switch kg over to try to muffle josh smith, a horrible efficiency player but you still can't let him "get going" and have bass do anything at the 5 position.

we did ok in the regular season, even got a little hot, but there's a reason why kg has never been a 5.  he isn't one.  what you can do with mirrors in reg season falls apart in the post season most every time....

Buffoon, MWP got 7 games instead of less because of his previous infractions of a similar nature, throwing a ball at a ref and bumping a ref are similar in nature, don't you think Buff?

are you serious?  he's thrown the ball at refs 2 or 3 times now?  the league does consider that tantamount to physical contact, don't cha know.....

if Pierce will stop dreaming about retirment, I say they pull it off in 5.  I'd like to see Peitrus get some minutes at the two along with Pav in game 2.  Let AB run the point and keep Dooling on the bench.

I'll only say this once so that it doesn't confuse the anti celtic posters: Out of the mouth of David Sterns "Rondo obviously bumped the ref and we have a rule in place that no player shall touch a ref, unless he was tripped into the ref " well I'm not an attorney but the video clearly shows The referee trips Rondo just before the contact...No suspension unless they decide it's the only way to keep the Hawks in the series!!

AB won't get suspended. Rondo will get a game, which he deserves.

"All the bs about how MWP needs to get suspended for the playoffs"

Umm that wasn't BS at all. Harden could have been seriously hurt, Artest is very lucky Harden was not out for playoffs in which case Artest would have been suspended for the entire playoffs as well. I know it's tough rooting for a team with as many horrible people as the Lakers have, but that's life for you.
