    about jump shooters

Larry Bird was a jump shooter first, but the big difference between him and PP and KG is Bird would follow his shot even though he had 2 great big men under the boards. And if he wasn't shooting, he sure as hell was going to look for a rebound. On defense, he knew to box out his man. I'm sure his coaches never had to tell him this. Fundamentals!  Are we to believe that Doc instructs his team to high tail it back on defense as soon as the ball leaves your hands, or this is how they choose to play?

Man I miss the work ethic LB brought to the game, and how it rubbed off on the rest of the team.

I watched Larry Bird play, a lot!

The difference Bird and KG is Bird can play with his back to the basket. KG sometimes gets the ball 10 feet away from the basket and ends up shooting it 16 feet away. If that's the case then he can't get an offensive rebound anymore. Bird plays closer to the basket, that's why Bird can follow his shot.

And come on, Pierce is a SF, he's not a big.
