Why not go after him, hes a talented big that can rebound and score.
Put him next to KG in the starting lineup, would be a big upgrade from Bass.
Can we get him if all they want is a draft pick and is it worth giving up?

Aren't Blatche & KG mortal enemies? Blatche could help, but he definitely won't put us over the top, not even close.
I see why the Nets want picks ... they're poised to sink with all those bloated salaries they took onboard. 4 more years paying Jo Jo 20 million?! 5 more years paying DWill 17M?!? Thats got to be the most inefficient backcount in the NBA.
WOW!

Blatche is a very talented player. Don't know about his attitude these days, but I've seen him play in person and on the tube and he can really move well for a big man. If he get along with KG and learn from him; well, that could really make the next couple years interesting for the Celtics front court. I say go get him! (with KG's blessing of course).

In response to Kirk6's comment:
Chris Wilcox is available, but for some reason Rivers won't use him.
According to individual defensive stats logged by Synergy Sports, Collins is allowing a mere 0.657 points per play, which ranks in the 97th percentile among all NBA players. Opponents are shooting just 32.9 percent (26 of 79 overall) in plays that finish against him.

Maybe we could trade Bass and Collins for him, then Doc would have to play Blatche and Wilcox!!

Blatche for Collins and a second rounder. With all the history between the two KG would have to be consulted. Blatche has game and maybe the lack of suitors might have sunk in to his pea brain.

Te Celtics could have had Blatche for nothing before the Nets signed him, For some reason there seems to be little interest in him in Boston. He's got a lot of physical talent but not a lot of basketball smarts. I would take him however since Sally went down perhaps Ainge will feal the same.

After Delonte West, the Celts haven't sign or traded for anybody who is considered a knucklehead.
The Celts passed on Blatche when the Celts could have gotten him cheap last summer.
K-Mart is available but the Celts apparently have no interest in him.
Rondo went down, Delonte is available, but the Celts don't want him either.
I think the Celts have had enough of players that have issues.

That would seem to be the case especially with West. He knows the system and could contribute immediately and he's better than Sessions. I'm not gonna second guess these decisions but Blatche has alot of talent.

but seriously, blatche is the proverbial "next great (before the clips got legitimate) clipper"- he's a moron, a slacker and a whack job all mixed up into one deadly potion that is inhibiting a cornucopia of physical talents from becoming a great player

(CBS) PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police say they will not release any further information about the alleged sexual assault inside a Philadelphia hotel that led the NBA's Brooklyn Nets player Andray Blatche to be questioned by authorities, the New York Daily Newsreports.
A statement obtained by the newspaper reads, "The Philadelphia Police Department will not release any detailed information regarding the investigation, nor will we release names of any person or person(s) potentially involved (victims, suspects, witness, etc.). The information given yesterday was very preliminary and early in this investigation," the email said, according to the Daily News.
Information had already been obtained by CBS New York that the alleged incident took place in a sixth-floor Four Seasons hotel suite Blatche had booked for two of his friends. The team was in Philadelphia to play the 76ers Tuesday night.
CBS Philly, citing sources, reported that a 21-year-old female filed a complaint alleging she was sexually assaulted around 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Police told CBS New York that the alleged victim had sex with two of Blatche's friends. The Daily News reported that the woman told police that she had consensual sex with one man and was raped by another.
Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey told The New York Times that Blatche was present in the hotel room at the time the alleged rape took place but that he did not commit the assault. The Times reports Ramsey also said the alleged victim was "so intoxicated... she is not going to be a good witness."
No criminal charges have been filed.

Lets criticize Doc for Wilcox not being in shape after heart surgery and missing time for a injury.
Don't you know, the coach that brought a title is an idiot...We should have hired Brown. but the slackers beat us to him...lol

You notice a pattern in the signing or acquiring of players after that Delonte West fiasco in 2011?

I am not a Attorney..ok, but let's say an over zealuous abulance chasing legal eagle gets a hold of this case. Makes allegations that the company knew that Balctche is an idiot, rapist, (history)whatever, but still signed him. Makes a case that technicly he is still on company time....talking about millions of $$$$. Her lawyers are porbably quietly negotiating at this moment...not to mention the bad Pub...more millions....Do we really want this kind of thing in Celtic green??? Don't think so...That's why teams are not jumping for joy to sign this guy...
If all allegations are proven to be true, I think there may be a moral issue here as well!
