[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Ainge: Move a PF for a Center : Big Baby - 5.4 rpg Shaq - 4.8 rpg Krstic - 5.3 rpg Shaq and Krstic's averages plus Big Baby's average gave us more or less 10 rebounds per game at the Center position last season. Add that with KG's 9 rpg that's close to 20 rpg from the C and PF positions. KG and West at the C and PF positions is not much better when it comes to rebounding.

KG will get a few more offensive rebounds playing center over PF. Esp b/c Bass and West both have superior mid-range games to Baby and the other big KG would have been paired with over the past 3 years (mostly Perk).

KG should really only play 26-30 mins a game this season. If Doc doesn't play him over 30, which would eb suicide for the playoffs, then I'd see KG getting 10.5 rebounds in 28 mins, esp with his legs feeling better than they have in years and a dedication to them. He knows West, Bass and Green can score a lot more buckets than Baby, Perk and Daniels could... those were the guys whose minutes those three will be getting.

Wilcox is a career 5 rebounds in 20 mins guy. Give him 3 in 12.

West is a career 7.3 in 33 mins. As he eases himself in from knee surgery look for 6 rebounds in 28 mins.

Bass will get you 4.5 rebounds in 20 mins.

That leaves 8 mins for Wilcox or Bass to prove they are a 20 or 28 minute a game player (instead of 12 and 20) or for Jeff green to prove he is a 36 minute a game player instead of 28, and deserves PF minutes.

Either way, that is another board.

That is 24 rebounds right there.

Rondo and Pierce will always combine to get you 9. Dooling is a big PG. Pierce a big SG, Green a bif SF. Lots of height with those 3 guys playing a lot in the backcourt abd at SF.

We will be fatser, longer, play above the rim more and rebound much better if that was the lineup we put out there.

And there is still a 3m contract we have to offer someone. Maybe a big guard who keeps Avery on the bench 1 more year or a real Center who bumps Wilcox or Bass to the bench.

That is an outrageous proposition. Yes we need more size and Dalembert would be a nice addition to the C's, but that is way too much for him. He is not worth 1 1st round pick let alone 2. We can't be losing picks unless it is for something serious.

Dalembert is worth the Mini MLE, and if it were a sign and trade we prob. would only need to send a second round pick and maybe one of the young guns we just signed for camp. Sacto has enough bigs, they just added Hayes to the 5 spot to play behind Cousins.

Dalembert would have been picked up by now if he was going to warrant big $$$. He is unrestricted and can do whatever. The longer he goes without interest from other teams the more likely he would take the Mini MLE to come to Boston.

Done logically, there is a way to obtain Dalembert and keep JON and keep both our 1s rounders.
